The Mariott is very nice, clean, reasonable, and it was a welcome for me. The staff were especially nice- from the shuttle driver to the receptionist, to the restaurant, to the in room service person- I really needed that! Marriott delivered great hospitality without even knowing the series of unfortunate events that took place prior to my arrival. "Fleetwood Mac" in the restaurant was heaven sent, and I thank you Marriott for a wonderful experience there.

OK, first time I was here it was a little dated but they went through a recent rehab and it is just a great older Marriott. The rooms are clean, neat, nice tv's bathrooms etc. If you like swimming it is the BEST pool around.

Nice bar great staff - it's all good for an overnight bz trip

Room Tip: Get a room away from the highway if you like a quiet night

The Cleveland Aiport Marriott is one well run hotel. The staff is very professional and friendly, the lobby is a great place to hang out (especially where it spills into the bar area with it's selection of 150 different beers), and the rooms are very comfortable and well kept. I enjoyed my experience here and would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: The tower side has rooms way above the ground floor.

Location: The Marriott Cleveland Airport is conveniently located just off the freeway with easy access to both the airport and downtown. There were so many plusses and just a couple negatives, it is hard to mention everything. A little pricey for the area. the outside neighborhood looks very rough, but once you pass through the front doors, you are greeted with a luxurious accommodation.

Check-in/out: The desk staff greeted me as I was halfway to the desk from the door, very friendly. Room was not ready yet as requested and confirmed, but they shuffled and got me in to another room quickly. At checkout Micah remembered my name. Great service!

Bell Service: Larry was friendly and helpful. He handled my bags with care and was a fount of knowledge. Recommend you ask for him by name if you need bag service. Great service!

Bar: There was a convention in so this place was packed and hard to get a seat. Staff seemed busy and abrupt but warmed up quickly once a conversation started. EXCELLENT beer selection!!!

Breakfast Buffet: Weak. The potatoes were mostly corners and hard, although they looked very appetizing at first. Usual suspects of bacon and eggs and cereals and fresh-made waffles. Bonus points, the sausages were not your basic tiny ones but big and flavorful. And the omelette station maker was friendly and helpful. The waitstaff in the dining room, on the other hand, seemed disinterested. Preston pretty much ignored me after seating me. Recommendation: stay on the concierge level and get the free breakfast up there.

Cleanliness: Staff was constantly seen cleaning the public areas and it was near spotless. In the room, the main bed/living area was likewise spotless. The bathroom, however, seemed to have long human hair growing out of the carpet bath mat. Bring sandals.

Room Service: The menu was a bit on the limited side, but that is just the nature of hotel menus. The food was phenomenal !!! Kudos to the chef! Everything was served at the perfect temperature and was tasty. Smaller portion sizes, but that is the current trend... minimalism. Nice presentation. Try the pheasant if they still have it!

Room Tip: Choose the concierge level for only a few dollars more and get free wi-fi and breakfast as well as l...

Outside the hotel didn't look as nice as I had thought it would and I didn't know what to think when walking in. Once inside though I was extremely surprised. The lobby area is excpetionally well decorated with marble floor and high ceilings. Another review mentioned the layout being awkward, it is, outside and in but still very nice inside. The elevators to the tower rooms, where I understand most guests stay, is in an awkward location and not extremely well marked. I helped other guests on myway out later actually find them.

I had also called ahead the morning of my reservation and asked about an early check in. Aside from not being guarenteed a high floor room like requested, there was no problem with me arrivintg 3 hours early. When I arrived early, the front desk associate was very nice and helpful and I had no problems checking into a room, which he did manage to get one on the 7th out of 9 floors.

Parking was very limited near the tower entrances but not too bad. The room was splendid. Everything was extremely clean and tidy. The bedding was super comfortable and everything worked perfect in the room except the exhaust fan for the shower and one of two small reading lights over the bed. But there was still a bedside lamp on both sides, and neither issue affected my stay. There was a mini-frig, single cup coffee maker, coffee, tea, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Nice sized television and nice desk area.

I did not use any of the facilities there as I stayed one night to attend a wedding, but everything looks very nice.

Across the street is a speedway gas station, and nextdoor is a denny's. didn't dirve down the street to see much else. But was nice that hotel was not right next to the airport, with the traffic and noise.

Not right at the airport but not in the heart of Cleveland, this hotel is in a nondescript location. From the outside it looks dumpy; inside it is much more elegant. I stayed in the Tower section in a large room with a king size bed; since I was on the concierge level I avoided the restaurant breakfast and had a nice little complimentary meal on the 9th floor. My internet was free, but for most people you would need to pay $9 per day unless you dragged your laptop to the lobby for free WiFi there. AMP 150 was OK -- food was tasty but not extraordinary. In the end, it was a nice place to stay but a bit on the expensive side.

Room Tip: If you qualify, ask for the 8th or 9th floor in the Tower section.

This is a recently redecorated hotel and it is unusually pretty. AMP 150 is an amazing restaurant, with an exceptional wine and craft beer list. (Watch out for breakfast, though -- see below.) There's a good-sized pool, and a workout room. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The convenience to the car rental at the airport is a real point in its favor, especially since you can get downtown very quickly and easily from the hotel. The price was amazing -- I got a double for $117.

Unfortunately, the walls are so thin that any noise from the neighboring rooms was completely audible. I was there for three nights and didn't sleep through one. There is no wi-fi available in the rooms. When I saw "free wi-fi in the lobby," I thought it meant there was a charge for wi-fi in the room, not that it just wasn't available at all. In the lobby are two beat up computers, one terminal for printing boarding passes (which didn't work), and one printer that kept getting paper jams. Machinery in general was a problem: the in-room refrigerator had such a loud buzz that I had to unplug it to sleep. The TV selections -- oh, goodness. $16 for an on-demand movie. $6 for a rerun of a recent TV show.

Breakfast. I paid ahead for a reduced rate on the buffet. None of the cooked food was even at room temperature, on any of the three days I ate there. The restaurant staff could not have been more pleasant and attentive, however. It wasn't their fault, and I didn't complain to them. I heard them asking management what they were supposed to do when the kitchen had run out of milk at 10 am, with a huge number of pee-wee hockey players in the hotel.

The problem with this hotel, apart from the thin walls & lack of up-to-date technology, is management. With the exception of one woman (petite, long dark hair) at the desk, the others were both rude and slow. The concept of "I'm not from here, that's why I need precise driving directions," is not one that they have absorbed. When I had a question, I got annoyed looks and a sense that I was bothering them.

With the low rates, the nice restaurant, somewhere else to do business, and some sturdy earplugs, this could be the place to go. The families there seemed very well pleased.
