We dined at Urban Farmer for the first time this weekend and it was one of the best restaurants overall that we have visited. Great welcoming interiors and very comfortable with a wide variety of seating including large sliding doors on the west side that offer outdoor seating without it feeling detached from the main interior areas. The selection of steaks in particular is well above the average of a very good steak house with selections of both grain and grass fed, and from very local to Waygu. All of the appetizers, salads, soups, and side dishes were all very good to excellent. My go to entree, the bone in rid-eye was a 8.25 on a scale of 10, and I have never had a 10. The menu selections are perfect in quantity , not too few and not overwhelming in number and with a nice variety of specials of the day. The homemade cornbread served with the bread should not be missed and a steakhouse staple, the creamed spinach, we all agreed was the best we have ever had. The only slightly negative was that on both the grilled shrimp on one of our salads and on my steak, we both thought there was perhaps slightly too much butter added. Urban Farmer has an excellent stocked bar with very knowledgeable bar tenders. The most impressive part of our evening was the wait staff, they were perfect in all regards, and our waitress Diane was as good as they come. Many very highly regarded restaurants could learn a lesson here from the obvious training and selection of staff that is in place at Urban Farmer. This will be our first choice next time visiting Cleveland.
