This is a great, free place to catch your breath and slow down. No matter the season, the greenhouse is a wonderful place visit. I have taken my church youth group here as part of our annual Cleveland Adventure Day and the kids always comment about how cool the place is.

This is a nice little greenhouse, especially during Cleveland’s long winter months when you need to remember that spring is just around the corner. The flowers are changed seasonally. There is a cactus room, orchids and various ponds. And there are usually orange, limes and/or lemons on the trees. Outside, there is an Asian garden and a garden for the blind that was designed for senses other than sight. (However, when I was there in May, it was in need or maintenance.) The greenhouse and parking is free. If your in the area, it’s a nice stop for 30 minutes or so (and there are restrooms). For tourists, I would add this on to a visit to the cultural gardens.

If you want picture perfect grounds and everything marked with wonderful garden after garden to see, this is not it. I enjoyed the couple gardens and the greenhouses and think it is worth a stop. But this is a working greenhouse for the city. On their behalf it has rained here a lot and keeping these grounds perfect are not on the top of the list. Like I said it is great for the price. Since it is free to visit you can't beat the price. There is a nice little park, the Sam Miller Park across the street also.

We go here at least once a year just to walk around and see the plants and flowers. We love coming here. It is right off he freeway and a free thing to do in Cleveland if you are bored. You should come here when the weather is nice so you can walk around the outside gardens too.

Beautiful describes this venue, inside & outside. I have visit this Cleveland landmark for years, and marvel each time I return at how marvelous it is. The Economy is taking it's toll here, that is easy to see, especially to a visitor from past decades. But, that is no reason to miss the beauty of Mother Nature, who is assisted by those who maintain this spot as a working showpiece. Beautiful!
