“Come for the food, stay for the music.”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

Just came back from vacation & was too tired to cook, so we decided to hit up the Parkview for some excellent fried shrimp & salmon BLT. Another local bar with friendly partrons & staff. A neighborhood bar that has been here for a long time and is enjoying a resurgence of activity, thanks to the Gordon Square Arts District million dollar improvements. There are fancier bars & restaurants in the area, but if good food, beer, & music are what you are looking for, you can't go wrong here.

“Great local spot for good food and great blues music.”
Reviewed April 21, 2012

Food was good for a neighborhood bar, service met expectations. The real diamond in the rough is the live music on Thursday and Saturday nights, mostly blues. Check it out.

“Best brunch in Cleveland”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

I am excited to try this location for dinner and for the live music. Hash Lafayette is absolutely incredible. The waitstaff is very nice and friendly and the atmosphere is a great local bar scene.

“Good Little Place, OK Prices for OK portions and a good view of Cleveland Skyline”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

Not actually a 'night club', a small dive in a questionable neighborhood of Cleveland. The location isn't the best.. it's in an industrial neighborhood on a dead end road. But definitely NOT UNSAFE. The atmosphere was nice, it was dark with a lot of stuff to look at on the walls and there was ever a pinball machine and a little bowling machine. Seeing as how we went mid-day President's Day, it was almost empty. The lack of people made the place feel big. We were with kids from ages 6-15 (me included) and we didn't have a problem. I can see how it might be a problem at night, because it would have more of a 'bar' atmosphere, but I don't know because I didnt go at night. Definitely read other reviews for that. The menu was good and apparently, it was featured on the Food Network show 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives". The food was pretty good and reasonably priced, however, the portions were a bit on the small side. Definitely a place for a small-medium sized lunch. The staff was kind and they juggled four families with all different checks very well. It was a good experience. I had the Philly Cheese steak, it was good! But definitely ask for fries, the amount of chips they give with your meal doesn't seem to be enough to fill yourself. And on Sundays, there is a brunch menu. An added bonus for photography/skyline enthusiasts, the street along the other side of the building (Cass Ave)gives you a BEAUTIFUL view of the Cleveland Skyline, and I definitely snapped a few pictures.
