“Excellent in all areas”

We visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration and could not be more impressed. The food was outstanding, the service was great, and the place has an amazing view of downtown. Would love to go back soon.

“Simply Perfect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

During a recent visit to Cleveland, USA, I visited the Blue Pointe Grill looking for some good fresh food. I was not disappointed.

This restaurant ticked every box. Service, Location, Atmosphere, Decor, Menu and even the price.

I tried a steak. It came with all the trimmings you would expect. As a party of over 10 people, we had came to expect occasionally the food to take a little longer to come out. The BPG however went against that trend. The service was prompt and excellently mannered. They met our every need.

Would very much eat here again if in town.

“Seafood Heaven”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

We tried this restaurant on one of oiur rarer visits to Cleveland. Blue Pointe is an excellent seafood restaurant. 4 of 5 members of our party had a variety of seafood and the unanimous verdict was that everything was flavorful and well presented. One person had the Amish chicken that he found to be on the dry side. Service was attentive, but not overly so. We would go back. Valet service is available and was also excellent.

“Great service, great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

During a recent stay in Cleveland, we were looking for some great seafood. The Blue Point Grill in downtown Cleveland did not disappoint. Making reservations was a snap. Once at the restaurant, our server Max, was completely attentive and friendly. If you enjoy calamari, I highly recommend it as an appetiser. BPG's is some of the most tender calamari I have had. Both my wife and I ordered the Blue Heaven seafood platter for our entree. Again, we were not disappointed in the least. If you prefer a cozier, more intimate atmosphere be sure to request a table upstairs and if possible near the railing overlooking the expansive downstairs area.

“Excellent Food aside from one item”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

5 of our 6 plates were very good or excellent. I tend to like my seafood raw or very rare and there is no better place than this restaurant for these items. The martinis were both outstanding --- fresh ingredients and the best French 45 I have tasted. The wine list is fairly priced and the wine by the glass was fresh. The oysters on the half shell were outstanding, as was the flourless tort. We asked if the cornmeal coated calamari to be prepared gluten-free and the waitress suggested that we get them sautéed. We assumed they would come seasoned and crispy but they came limp and wet, almost tasting like they were boiled. Even the dipping sauce could not correct the issue. (I would not send back a special order like this but it was disappointing none-the-less). The main courses were very good or excellent; the haddock was wonderfully prepared but the veggies that came along with the dish were bland, but the seared tuna with wasabi sauce is always a special delight. The brussel sprouts were also great. The wait staff was outstanding. This is generally a 5* experience and I think if you stick with the menu as prepared it would have been again. If this is going to be your first time visiting, the Valet parking is worth it as the public lot across the street is the same $8 the Valet charges. The ambiance is not great for "romance" as many of the tables for two are lined up with just enough room to walk into the booth. In terms of cost -- reasonable for an excellent fish restaurant.
