“Went for lunch - great menu items and gluten-free accommodations!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

Loved the menu options but our server and the kitchen seemed a little put out by our request for gluten-free selections even though we had pre-reserved and our entire group is g-f. Had a mistake in the production which was disappointing since when we dined they were not overly busy. My prior experiences here have been better!

“small is huge!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

Karen Small is the best in the buisness. Her haute is always consistent, healthy and delicious.
She is the consummate localavor. When I have a hankering for meat, her short ribs are to live for.
It is my favorite night out.

“A great spot in an eclectic neighborhood!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2012

We have been to Flying Fig on many occasions, and we always enjoy our meal there. The atmosphere is light, contemporary and casual, yet upscale. Karen always uses local products to create wonderful menu options. We enjoyed several anniversary dinners there, a wonderful New Year's Eve Dinner, and many other great meals.

We recently had Sunday brunch there for the first time, and we loved it. It is a great before-theater matinee option, and our meal was so very enjoyable, from our beverages to our entrees to the service. It was a great start to our day, and my breakfast cocktail, "The Grapefruit" (Absolut Grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, with a coarse sugar rim) was incredibly refreshing and delicious. Thanks, Karen, for a great start to a nice day for us!

“You will NOT be disapointed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

OMG, words cannot express how wonderful the food was and the staff was so attentive. They really made or anniversary extra special. My boyfriend and I ordered the MOLASSES GLAZED CONFIT PORK SHOULDER SWEET POTATO PUREE, CARAMELIZED BRUSSELS SPROUTS, CIDER MAPLE REDUCTION. We've eaten at most of the high end restaurants in the Cleveland area and must say that The Flying Fig can hold it's own in this foodie town. So glad we stumbled a crossed this during Cleveland Restaurant week!! Can't wait to go back!!

“Happy hour was happy!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

Weekday happy hour. We shared a blue cheese burger, fries, and the crooked river pork nachos. All were great. A great glass of red and a raspberry champagne drink were $5.00 each. We will return to try a sit down dinner.
