The service wasn't bad, although it was pretty dead, so the food came out very quickly. The drinks probably took the longest. The cocktails, bread, and dessert were probably the best parts of the meal. The entrees' seasonings were overpowering (way too much balsamic vinegar in one and too much salt in another) and the shrimp tasted fishy. I really wanted to like this place as I live nearby and enjoy fine dining, which this restaurant was clearly going for based on the prices and the provision of an amuse-bouche, but the food was unimpressive. I walk by it all the time, and never noticed this, but as far as the ambiance goes, they should invest in lighting. It was so dark, our food was difficult to see. The waitress brought out a tiny oil candle to help, which had almost no effect. Overall, pretty disappointing quality for the price.

The worst part of this place is the accoustics - difficult to carry on a conversation. The rest is all positive - nice jazz group playing during dinner, nice scenery outside and decor inside, attentive service, and excellent food. We had steak and salomon - both excellent.

Congrats to Chef Fabio and his team -- the space is outstanding and leaves me longing for some long summer nights to sit outside on the beautiful little patio. We headed up to CL for an evening after a tour of the Rembrandt exhibit and CMA and felt that the food and ambiance measured up to the portraits!

The service was outstanding - truly, the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful -- from the valets, to the hostess, to the wait staff and even Fabio's beautiful Mom who came over to make certain that our evening was going well.

Added to my Cleveland favorites list!

Near Little Italy and University Circle, Club Isabella is tucked away in the Cornell St. area.

Nice, modern style with a very creative bartender. Diverse modern food. It's sort of the nice casual style, a bit upscale and pleasant for a special dinner. Not too pricey, but nicer than the average place.

Club I has moved from its' old location and has been beautifully redecorated. It has a nice modern menu, all of which is nicely executed.
