“Choice venue for great live music in Cleveland”
Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

Brothers has been alive in Cleveland for many years. The crescent remodel has brought a new life to Brothers. The wine bar offers some excellent acoustic music in an intimate setting and if you want something a little livelier then go on back to the music hall for dancing and enjoy one of the many fine bands they bring.
The food is pretty good, the wine selection is very good and the fun is excellent.

“Neighborly”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Nice place in Lakewood, Ohio. In a good neighborhood to walk about. Workers, bartender, and other patrons were all very nice and friendly. I was there on a Wednesday night and it was fairly busy, but the bartender did a good job of making sure I was taken care of. Nice menu and good food, with a good selection of craft beers. There is a wine bar on one side that offers live music plus a back room that had a comedy show the night I was there. The only problem I had is finding parking.

“Has A Lot to Offer....”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

I have to say I was surprised when I walked up to this place. The sign and its "art deco" design was hard to guess what type of atmosphere might be inside. We were given a tour within minutes of striking conversation with one of the tenders. Visit their website - which is very detailed and gives you a great look into what you'll find.

PUB - The pub has some really great beers to offer. Duvel is one of my fav's and they have it. Some really good one's on tap too. Their mixed drinks are made with good attention and I've never had a shot with cucumber in it, but that night was my first. Excellent flavors. We did not try the food, so I can't give any opinion on that aspect. The mahogany bar is impressive. Although the area in the pub is rather small, it's very comfortable, clean, and classy.

MUSIC HALL - Through the back of the pub you enter the music hall. There is a large area with tables and chairs, a standing area in front of the stage, and a full bar along the side wall. For a small venue this central location within the building is perfect.

PATIO - Out back from the Music Hall is the patio which is very well designed. There is a sandstone bar on it. It is a rather small area, but , it is gated and offers you a place to go to have a smoke if you need rather than out front on the main st. of Detroit Ave.

WINE BAR - The wine bar is about the size of the pub and is directly behind the wall of the bar in the pub. The is a baby grand in the front window which is played regularly. The bar is the same size as the pub and there are lower tables rather than the high tops that are in the pub. The tables appeared to have white linen and did have candle light.

Overall this place offers a whole lot more than it appears on the outside. I'm looking forward to going back soon.

“With live music on a regular basis this place jams.”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

In the back, open theater like setting it makes for a great venue for music. The bar area is set in front of the location and if you would rather not be too close to the music, it is still easy to hear the performance from the bar. On the other side of the bar is a wine bar. It is almost always packed with people of all walks of life. A good time.

“Great bands, good food and great staff.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We've been at Brothers several times in the last year to see Disco Inferno, Fifty Amp Fuse and some other bands. The room where the bands play can get VERY crowded depending on who is playing. The bathrooms are in the basement down some steep stairs. The bar is long and they never seem to have enough bartenders, but the ones working do a great job of trying to accomodate everyone. There is a small outdoor area that is usually filled with smokers. The parking lot is VERY small - be prepared to walk a block or two to park. Also, be careful of where you park because the private lots WILL have you towed. The food here is really quite good. Better than your average bar food - but the prices are a bit steep. Drink prices are higher than your local pubs but about the same as your chain restaurant / bars. Not a ton of room to dance as there are tables that extend out to where the dance floor would be. Not a lot of tables so if you want one and there's a popular band playing you should arrive 2 - 3 hours early and plan on making a night of it. The staff does a great job of clearing tables and making sure that your bills are accurate - even for large parties where we had different tabs running all night. They offer many different beers and liquors. There is a small pub like area in the front of the establishment with another bar and more seating and a small bathroom. Depending on the band that is playing there may be a cover to get into the back room. Overall it is a really nice place to enjoy a night out with friends.
