Renowned for the quality and breadth of its collection, the museum includes almost 45,000 objects and spans 6,000 years of achievement in the arts. The museum is a significant international forum for exhibitions, scholarship, performing arts and art education and recently completed an ambitious, multi-phase renovation and expansion project across its campus. One of the top comprehensive art museums in the nation and free of charge to all, the Cleveland Museum of Art is located in the dynamic University Circle neighborhood.

This museum has a smallish but wide-ranging collection worth seeing in its own right, but the museum space is sumptuous and wonderful to be in--wonderful use of space, planes, and light. Loved the special exhibit on Pompeii as interpreted by various artists of the last 300 years--comes with free audio guide. The interactive Gallery One space also interesting. Good for kids whose notion of art is a picture on a wall!

A world class art museum and admission is always free. That should be enough to get people here. This little gem of a museum recently went through an extensive rebuilt. The interactive touch screen art wall is a sight to see. You can stand there forever exploring several eras. You can take a guided tour, which is offered once a day, but the museum is easy enough to navigate that I would explore it on my own. The museum has art for anyone's taste; Renaissance, European, Impressionist, Contemporary. Monet, Pollack, Warhol are some of the artists with works on display. The museum has a cafe and restaurant on site. A little pricey but that is to be expected at a museum. Same goes for the gift shop; Nice to look around but get ready to shell out the big bucks for a souvenir. If you have any questions the museum staff is very knowledgeable and willing to assist. You can try to find meter parking around Wade Oval Circle, but I suggest parking at the museum garage. The garage is connected to the museum. Parking costs $6.00 for 2 hours and $1.00 for every 30 minutes after. An affordable can't miss Cleveland attraction!

I had no idea that Cleveland had such a nice museum. Small sampling of different forms of art. Classical, Dutch Masters, Egyptian and Medieval as well as impressionism. The best part is that there is free admission so if you don't like it you have lost nothing.

The interactive touch screen computer programs were innovative and amazing! The atrium in the center of the museum is unique. What an experience!

The new renovation of the museum only enhances the lovely setting which houses some of the finest art work in the world. Free admission and reasonably priced covered parking make this a true Cleveland treasure!
