“One of the best museums in the country.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

I am an art teacher, and have been to numerous art museums across the country. You can keep the Met in NYC--give me Cleveland, any day! The staff is excellent; well-educated and willing to answer any questions. I have taken large groups of students, and the museum has been extremely accommodating, not even charging us a fee for special exhibits. The museum is free (but we always donate), and has the most comprehensive collection of artwork I've ever seen. It is simply amazing, from the antiquities to the Modern Art gallery, and special exhibits. Its location is beautiful in University Circle, located to many other fine museums in which to visit. I cannot express how amazing CMA is. I have visited MANY times, and the experience is always wonderful.

“CMA beats our CAM”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

I haven't been to the CMA since 1979. Imagine my pleasant surprise as a dear friend walked me through the NEW and IMPROVED museum last week. Having worked, been on board of trustees and a frequent visitor to museums in my hometown of Cincinnati, I was greatly impressed with the architectural vision and flow. In addition to the large permanent collection which is beautifully presented (albeit some odd curatorial decisions) there was also objects from the Wari tribes from Peru. Throw in the fact its FREE and this revitalized museum holds its own with my favorites of Europe and places a glaring spotlight on how far our local museum needs to go to improve its holdings.

“Wow - Loved It!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

They did a beautiful job of merging a modern addition with the original Beaux-Arts building. The permanent collection is fabulous: from the ancient (Near East, Egyptian, Greek, Roman) to Impressionist painters and more. And it's free.

“Its FREE and its awesome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

Well I am not much of an artist person. But I really loved my time at the museum. Looking at art. The best part is its one of the very few museums which is free. And is one of the largest in the word. Its a very enriching experience. The staff is friendly and art is good. Its a must visit for every art lovers. Its a place of zen.
