We dropped in for the last hour of day and enjoyed a preview of the Whales exhibition and a wonderful show of photographs with a story to tell.
Loved the showcases of indigenous crafts showing past lifestyles.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much interesting stuff they had in this museum. I was expecting dry, dull history, but it was great!

My recent visit was a great time as I took my 5 and 7 year old niece and nephew. They both love dinosaurs, but had never seen life-size skeletal remains. They were both looking at the sheer size of the displays with utter amazement. I knew that this would be a fun trip for them and was the primary focus of their attention. We did go through the rest of the museum before stopping for a quick lunch. The rest of the displays were in good condition but not nearly as exciting for the two children. Although a close second was the outdoor animal exhibit.

The displays are not only educational, but up to date and kept in very fine order. The layout is well managed and gives you the ability to look at all the exhibits at your own pace. Parking is good as well.

We have visited this amazing place dozens of times over the years and I'm still engaged every time with the exhibits. When our kids were little we would be in the dinosaur room for hours, absorbing every nuance.
