This was a great tour. It is self-guided with audio buttons to tell you what to see in each section of the submarine. Plus there were two vets working who brought so much more information and cool things to see. They were relaxed and available without being obtrusive. Cost is $12 per person which seems reasonable to maintain the submarine. Guys were painting to keep the sub fresh. Well worth a visit. Note you will be descending original ladders so take your time or if not good with mobility issues it would not be a satisfying experience.

This submarine has been in the Cleveland area for many, many years. Unfortunately, many do not even know it is. It has been beautifully maintained by volunteers and continues to honor all of those that have served. I recommend making the trip to visit this floating exhibit.

Permanently docked on N Marginal Rd in Cleveland Ohio, this is the first submarine I ever boarded. It is a fine example of an underwater attack ship with forward and aft torpedoes tubes and torpedoes on display. The bridge is bathed in red lught and everything seems exactly like it was in WW 2. We had a very passionate tour, given by a sailor who was stationed on a similar model submarine. A fabulous attraction in Cleveland.

This submarine is permanently docked as a museum in Cleveland. The boat has a fascinating history from WW 2 and is well worth a visit. I was never on a submarine before. A former crew member from a similar type submarine gave a talk during our visit. He was intelligent, passionate and lovely. It was a very rewarding trip which I would recommend to anyone who is interested in WW 2 history or just in general.

The submarine has been kept in original condition, and is spilt up into section which provides you with information as you move through. You are able to touch and get up close with all of the equipment in the sub.

I would highly recommend, however you need to be able to climb down a hatch/ladder to access the sub.
