This zoo was awesome. It was big enough to feel like we were seeing a lot, but not too big for the little ones. We loved seeing all the animals and felt like we could get closer to them than we could at other zoos (especially the lions and the cheetahs!) It was fun to feed the lorikeets and the prices of the food and the souvenirs were great.

Went with wife and baby. Very well done and laid out zoo with varied selection of animals. Take the little shuttle to the top and walk down. Good info describing the animals. Worth the trip. Not too small or too large. Can do in about three hours.

This zoo is fantastic..and huge! We had about 4.5 hours here and it wasn't nearly enough. There's a whole side of the zoo we didn't get to see. What we did though... is fantastic. The Rainforest exhibit is especially cool. You go inside a man-made rainforest. It's a can't miss thing.

The Orangutan exhibit is also awesome. I've never been so close to a male Orangutan in my life. He looked right at me!

A few tips:

The Northern Trek entrance is just that. Prepare for a lot of walking. And the Rainforest is on the other side of the zoo. Try to use the main entrance if possible.

If you are a member of another Zoo, you may be able to get a discount. We were able to get 1/2 off our tickets by presenting our Zoo Atlanta membership.

The zoo is huge..not just in number of animals but in space as well. Wear comfortable shoes. You'll need them.

Great for kids young and old. The animals seem really close up and pretty well cared for. Our grandaughter is a regular visitor and loves the place
