What can I say? I'm an old rock-n-roller, and this place brings the nostalgia in a big way. The exhibits have been added to many times over the years. I went there the first year it opened, and have visited at least 9 times over the years. Pay attention to the architecture--it's designed to look like a giant record player, yet harkens to ancient Egyptian pyramids. Located right on the water, next to the Great Lakes Science center, and Burke Lake Front Airport, the view is amazing. GO there! My only (actually husband's complaint), is not being able to take pictures. No cameras are allowed, but we saw plenty of people taking pictures with their cell phones, which is a little irritating.
