This is a beautiful, clean, and comfortable place of rest, with many amenities provided in the bath. Breakfast was delicious. We walked to an event in downtown Cleveland easily. Absolutely the best value in a bed and breakfast I've ever come across. Thanks Robin!

We had a great experience at the Brownstone Inn, run by the coolest guy we met in Cleveland, Robin, and would never think of staying any place else.
The house is really cute, has a great history (which Robin will happily share with you, just ask!), and is immaculate.
The rooms, although maybe a little on the small side, were equipped with everything we needed, clean and very comfortable.
Robin provided great coffee, a superb breakfast (omelettes with veggies, bacon, & toast one day and yogurt with fresh fruit and granola the next), endles information about Cleveland, AND free, high-speed wireless internet.
The location is great (you would need a car though, until the newest train line is complete), just a five minute drive from downtown, two minutes to the freeway, and a block or so from Euclid, a main street to go everywhere in Cleveland.
As if that wasn't enough, this place is a complete steal, coming in WELL under $100 a night. Honestly, the Brownstone cannot be beat.

My wife and I stayed at the Brownstone Inn Downtown this summer and were very disappointed. While the owner was nice and very knowledgeable about Cleveland activities, he clearly did not understand how to run a bed & breakfast, or he chose it so he could justify owning a fancy house with lots of antiques, ignoring the part about serving guests. As the sole proprietor, he seemed in a little over his head. The brownstone is a nice facility with five rooms, two of which have private baths. Note that he claimed each room had a private bath, which was untrue. If you have to walk through a house, it is not a private bath. Moreover, a fan broke in a bedroom during the July heat so that it made noise when used, which was required because the air conditioning was very weak. Rather than fix the fan, as he promised, he spent time adding new decorative furniture to a bathroom. That was pretty fustrating, but not nearly as bad as breakfast. One day breakfast was two Eggo waffles with one slice of bacon. The breakfast at the Holiday Inn would have been better, because at least we could have eaten more than two frozen waffles. The other morning breakfast was scrambled eggs and one slice of bacon with toast. This is not up to the standards of a breakfast that is expected of a B&B. Instead, this place is just a bed, with a caretaker who has misguided priorities.

My husband and I spent a weekend sightseeing in Columbus, using the Brownstone Inn as home base. Robin Yates is an excellent host. In the morning, over our big breakfast, he would ask what activities we were considering, and then he would offer brochures and directions. Plus he got us a discount at That Place on Bellflower, which is a lovely University Circle restaurant, just 10 minutes away. Downtown and the Westside Market are also 10 minutes away. Our room was large, we had a private bath, there was parking out front, the bed was comfortable. And the house is lovely, with old wood floors and antiques sprinkled around. The parlor is full of books, including one Robin suggested that filled us in on the history of nearby Euclid Avenue. And the people we met at breakfast were interesting. My only complaint is small: there are several doorknobs on each door, an antique and a new one. It took awhile to figure out that the top knob got us out of our room and the bottom knob got us back in. Another handy money-saving feature: there's a kitchenette for the guests to use, with a full-size refrigerator, sink, microwave and bottled water. I had one sleepless night, and it was nice to be able to get a snack and go down to the parlor to read. We will definitely stay here again.
