Glidden House was a perfect place to stay while on business at Case Western. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was really, really delicious.

My newlywed Husband and Myself would HIGHLY recommend Glidden House not only for a Wedding Reception/Ceremony, but also for Hotel accommodations. The rooms are visually appealing, and extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and will do anything to make your stay a perfect one. Leary and Kate, our event coordinators, could not have been more helpful in making our Wedding the most beautiful and perfect evening. I just can not say enough good words about the Glidden House.

We loved the Glidden House and would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay in the University Circle area. We walked to Severance Hall (home of the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra) and the Cleveland Art Museum. The Cleveland Botanical Garden is across the street. In addition, several excellent restaurants are within walking distance. Rooms are somewhat small, comfortable, and clean. Views from windows are park like. An excellent hot breakfast was included in the room cost. We also enjoyed a selection of newspapers in the morning. Parking in the rear of the building is free. Glidden House is a great value for a big city hotel.

My wife and I loved the Glidden House Inn in that lovely Case Western Reserve area of Cleveland. The lobby is elegant, welcoming, the art work throughout superb, everything breathes "welcome to home away from home" (if only one's home could be this gracious and well kept and tasteful). Breakfast is fantastic - creamy hot oatmeal, lovely scones, perfectly done bacon, slightly runny eggs topped with cheddar cheese, fresh fruit salad, all served in those rooms that look out onto the green surroundings. Close to Severence Hall, the Clveland Museum of Art and the Botanical Gardens.

The only reason they don't get 5 stars - I thought the actual bedroom a little small for such a gracious place and the in room air conditioning unit was rattling noisy. Also the bar and restaurant weren't open Sunday night. But then we were pointed in the direction of Valerio's nearby, in Little Italy, and THAT was worth leaving the Glidden for (see my review elsewhere). Not quite perfect, but still we'd go back in a heartbeat.

I stayed in a King new wing room. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Nice hotel bar. Excellent breakfast included. We found the whole staff very friendly and helpful, including the concierge, the bartender, the maid and dining room staff. On the other hand, we were disappointed in the little restaurant next door, Sergios. Service and food both below par, but expensive.
