My wife and I were first-timers to the area and had no resource other than tripadvisor to help with the selection of nice place to stay. How delighted we were to have found this gem! The accommodations exceeded our wildest expectations! The setting is serene and peaceful, the rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and generous. The grounds are immaculate and home to ducks, geese, rabbits, birds, horses, even a beautiful swan, who interact and behave as family! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the setting is such that you make new friends as you enjoy the grounds and amenities. The breakfast is delicious. We didn't do the evening snack because we were away both evenings, but I'm sure it was as pleasant as the breakfast environment. This was our first quick getaway in years where we were literally sad to leave.
We stayed so busy enjoying Amish country, that we didn't spend time with the reception staff, but were fortunate enough to meet Erica when we checked out and she was so genuinely welcoming and friendly. We will be back, for an extended stay next time.

This was our second time to stay at the Guggisberg Swiss Inn-why? We returned for the clean, comfortable room, the beautiful, quiet setting, a wonderful hot breakfast and evening snacks, and the warm welcome. You are close to everything, yet not in an impersonal motel along a busy highway. My only wish is that they had a swimming pool!

Nice place to spend a night or two. Beds and rooms are average, nothing fancy. The horses were why were went and stayed there and while they were out of site most of the time up on the hill, the man who cares for the horses brings them down every evening. They walk through the parking lot and then hang out in the back field area for about an hour. We enjoyed walking around and learning their names and petting them. There were even 2 donkeys who came with them. The horse-keepers was very friendly and informative. The next day we went on a scheduled horseback ride. It was fun, the teenage daughter loved it. I just wished it was a bit more of an "adventure" and not just up to the little cemetery and back . Overall a nice 2 days. Close to some shopping and Hershberger's Farm and Bakery.

Room Tip: 2 stores and no elevator. Make sure you can hike up a flight of steps with your luggage. Cell phone coverage was sketchy and the rooms only had VCR's. They have many VHS movies you can borrow to watch. If technology is important call ahead and ask first.

We enjoyed our stay at the inn; our room was cozy and clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was hearty. Seeing the horses roam the property throughout the day was a wonderful sight. The decor was a bit dated, but that wan't an issue for us, it was just an observation.

We have visited the Amish Country many, many times and have stayed at quiet a few places.
However, this was our second time at the Swiss Inn. We enjoyed our stay and they were very accommodating.
You can't beat there hospitality. It shows the innkeepers really care about the people that stay there.
On Thangsgiving that evening we were invited to a spread of delicious food at the lobby. They prepared this meal knowing that everyone ate early and may be hungry in the evening. Now that is taking care of your guest.

Thanks guys and see you again next year!!Thanks a
