This place is definately a Chagrin Falls institution. My husband and I have been a regular for several years. We are probably younger (50) than the average age of their patrons but the atmosphere is cozy and the service has always been good. I will agree with a few of the other reviews by saying the food seems to have changed a bit. For instance they used to have a fantastic molten lava cake that oozed warm thick fudge. The new version doesn' t have any filling and that's disappointing. In lieu of the cake we now order Raintree Coffee for dessert. We love to watch the bartender (Bootsie) prepare these. It involves warming the glass coffee mug by setting fire to the alcohol before pouring the coffee in. She dips the rim in cinnamon sugar and tops the whole thing off with real whipped cream. Very Yummy! Our favorite server is Janet. She always does an outstanding job. Another positive for this place is the live jazz music on the weekends. Not too many places have live music anymore so that's a nice touch. All and all I would recommend trying this place out next time you want to have a nice, quiet dinner while in the Chagrin Falls area.
