“This Ruby...not a gem”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

My husband and I often go to Ruby Tuesdays at the Kings island exit off 71 when we want an easy good salad bar. Yesterday we were in Dayton close to Dorothy Lane Market and we decided to go into the Ruby Tuesdays there. We were not impressed and left. When we went in about mid afternoon there were a few people there and we noticed several waiters and the hostess standing around talking...but we were shown to a table. We first noticed that the floor was very dirty. There appeared to be an area where they were not seating people that was very clean...but the area where there were customers had not been swept. We ordered and the waitress was very nice and then we proceeded to the salad bar...oh my! Guess we should have surveyed it first!! It was hideous! Several of the items were almost gone..not enough there for 2.. And the rest looked like they had been setting out way too long...items with mayonnaise looked very old and bad....sooo we sat back down, looked at one another, and decided if this was the way the public area looked....dirty and unkept.... We did not even want to think about the kitchen and how it looked.By the way we did tell the hostess that the salad bar was a mess and to tell the manager...but we never saw him or her. When our waitress camel over we told her we were leaving and we did.. Not recommended.

“provides a menu of moderately priced meals”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

Ruby Tuesday’s is an excellent example of a casual dining restaurant, which provides a menu of moderately priced meals.

At times, my wife will prefer not to dress for fine dining, and Ruby Tuesday’s provides a logical choice.

A few years ago corporate determined to upgrade the interior and seating arrangement for this chain restaurant, and this upgrade was very successful.

Ruby Tuesday’s take care in revising the menu several times during the year. Ruby Tuesday’s offers a full bar, several wines, and a draught beer selection.

Ruby Tuesday’s salad bar merits a distinct advantage for the chain. The glass sneeze bar is very low, and this is a positive feature. Iceberg lettuce is not an option, and “wimpy” and salad is not an option at Ruby Tuesday’s. The salad bar might be a meal, and the salad bar is complimentary when ordering an entrée.

We enjoy Ruby Tuesday’s on a regular basis, and my wife looks forward to visiting Dorothy Lane Market for a desert to go selection.

There have been several menu changes since my August Review, and we recommend the new Asiago Peppercorn Sirloin, the Sirloin and Lobster, and the Baby-Back Ribs and Shrimp.

Management is excellent as is the hostess, and our “Zanesville” server. In our many Ruby Tuesday’s visits, we have never had cause to complain.

The clientele varies from families, singles, middle age, boomers and retirees. I am not certain how background music is selected for all of these demographics. Expect the tab with taxes to be about $20.00 per person. And we are pleased to add a 20% tip.

“The Last Salad Buffet”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

This chain restaurant continues to serve good food in a pleasant atmosphere with well trained personnel that are friendly. And best of all they still have a clean, well stocked salad buffet with a good variety of produce. A satisfying experience every time that we visit

“; the clientele wears a casual dress; and the conversation is at a normal level”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

Ruby Tuesday in Centerville, OH (Washington Township) is located at Far Hills on the west side of Whipp Road. Locals will know that this restaurant has succeeded in a location that several other restaurants did not. Of course, DLM is directly south of Ruby Tuesday.

Yes, Ruby Tuesday in Centerville, OH is named after the song “Ruby Tuesday” recorded by The Rolling Stones in 1966, released in January 1967.

Ruby Tuesday in Centerville, OH has been on our radar since the day it opened. Ruby Tuesday in Centerville, OH as a corporate restaurant initially was of the ilk as Applebees or TGIF, but without the dreadful loud music. Ruby Tuesday has “pulled out all of the stops” to differentiate itself from Applebees and Chili's.

There is a full service bar with unobtrusive TVs, and the noise level is quite low. The large windows do offer a view.

The salad bar is excellent. There is a view that Ruby Tuesday restaurants offer one of the finest salad bars in the Dayton area, and yes, the salad bar may be a lunch or dinner.

We are always greeted by a young hostess, who is knowledgeable about the table layout of the restaurant, and we are promptly seated. The wait staff is knowledgeable and prompt. The young wait staff is highly trained, and we are usually visited by a manager who has a genuine interest in our enjoyment of dinner.

The seafood and steaks are not “Pine Club” or “Jay’s” quality, but Ruby Tuesday provides a pleasant Friday or Saturday date night. We often use our 50% off coupon for a very inexpensive evening. We recommend becoming an on-line dining member of the Ruby Tuesday club.

A pleasant aspect is that corporate Ruby Tuesday provides a new menu often. We find that the happy hour specials do extend to the restaurant, and are not limited to the bar area.

Boomers and retirees seem to be the target clientele; however, some young families do venture in at times.

The wine selection is adequate: the music is low; the clientele wears a casual dress; and the conversation is at a normal level. The tariff is appropriate for the fare.
