This small theatre only shows 1-2 different movies & sometimes they're not the newest releases (i.e. a classic movie). Also, shows come here so it can be more than a movie theatre. The interior decor reminds you of days past. You can really get a feel for the history wandering around inside.

Events at the Palace are still almost as much about the venue as they are about the event. Stepping through the doors is like taking a step back in time. The place was on its way to demolition when the Canton Jaycees stepped in to rescue it. Lucky for Canton that they did. It is a treasure.

Big stage shows are where the theater shines. That's what it was built for. Before the show starts, you can marvel at the gorgeous ceiling and ornate decorations.

Big screen movies are also great here. The sound system isn't on par with the Dolby Extreme Surround at the Tinsletown, but it's plenty good.

With the recent renovation of the theater, updating bathrooms and improving heating and cooling, the theater is only getting better as it gets older.

This is a older theater (Historical) that has been well taken care of.. You have to see the stars on the ceiling you would think you were outside. the theater has a lot of movies for families on first Friday of the month .They offer a lot of other shows like magic, Stooge festival if you are looking for something different . They have a peddle organist that uses feet and hands. the only one around.

We have been to a couple concerts and even a wedding at the Canton Palace Theatre. They don't build theaters like this anymore so if you ever get a chance to see something entertaining there, it is worth it at least once just to be a part of the history of Canton.
