I don't follow football, but we took our grown kids there for the day, and I had a great time! The history behind the Football Hall of Fame, teams, both past and present, and the superb displays made for a good mini vacation. The Dome is closed till June for renovations, so that was disappointing, but it's good to see that they are making a good place even better!

“Born and raised”

As a Canton resident we have visited the HOF many many times. It has been nice to watch the growth and the people from all over the world come to visit. There is something for everyone but you have to be a fan of football to truly enjoy your experience.

“Much more than expected”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

I am a die hard football fan, but even so I was a little skeptical about spending an afternoon looking at sports memorabilia! But the HOF is very interactive, they have all sorts of items from when the game first began to present. I would absolutley recomend sitting down to watch "The Road to the Superbowl.: Even not being a fan of either team featured, it was a very compelling story. It's currently under construction and I really can't wait to go back and see what was added!

What a fantastic museum! So much to see and learn. We spent about two hours here with our 3 young sons. We all enjoyed it. VERY clean facility too.

“Hoping for more after renovations”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

I took my two boys - ages 12 and 8 - to the HoF two weeks ago. We had talked about it for a while and finally decided to make the trip on a day off of school. A few impressions.

Admission leans a bit toward the pricey side for what you get, even with coupons we brought. The tab was about $50 to walk in the door. We spent about three hours inside... so not a lot of bang for your buck.

The video displays that tell the story of the individual Hall of Famers provided some neat footage, but - to be honest - there wasn't much more than you can find on YouTube. We saw many of the same highlights at the Hall that we viewed on the computer at home while talking about the legends of the game.

There needs to be more hands-on, interactive displays to engage kids. Why are the uniforms of today behind glass? If Tom Brady's jersey can hold up to a blitz, it should be able to handle the hands of an elementary school student. Put 'em out there for people to touch!!!

Why not displays that show the size of today's player, a place where you can get a pic and realize how big they truly are. (Thinking Vince Woolfork, here.)
You look at shoes behind glass. Why not have fake shoes that kids can put there feet in?
What about a booth where you can call a famous play?

There are so many possibilities, and the HoF fell a bit flat for telling the story of a game filled with so much passion.

The good? The Super Bowl movie was incredible, and I enjoyed the trip down memory lane provided by many of the displays. It just needed... well, more. They are currently expanding the HoF. Hopefully, they'll update the experience and put a little more "wow" into it.
