“White Tablecloth Meal in Canfield”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

Like so many others, I was thrilled when Whitefire Grille took over the former Harry and Jean's across the street from Inner Circle Canfield. The space is fantastic! Dark woods and open spaces create an ambiance not found anywhere else in the Youngstown Suburbs - besides Springfield Grille all the way over on the other side of Boardman :)

The menu has plenty of selections. I had a grilled fish special with steamed vegetables (not my preference, but I was looking to stick to a diet!) and it was delicious. Service was attentive, though not overly so.

I'd recommend Whitefire Grille for a special occasion, as the ambiance and menu are both impressive.

“casual elegance”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

As you enter the Whitefire Grill, it's like going to a country home, with a beautiful front porch. Dining choices are a casual bar and lounge to the left or an elegant formal dining room to the right. The menu will please a variety of tastes, but all items have one thing in common - excellent food.

“Do not waste you time or $$$$$”

The only thing that rates three stars is the building decor. What a shame we need a " New York / Chicago " Chop House and Whitefire falls far short!!

“Birthday dissapointment”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

For my birthday, my mother took me to get a pedicure. After the pedicure, we decided to go to lunch at whitefire, because it was close and seemed special. Our waitress was and took our orders quickly. We loved that the water stayed at the table since we didn't get anything else to drink. We ordered a lobster roll and a fried oyster sandwich. We split the sandwiches and found that they were almost completely bread. What little fish there was, we enjoyed, but it was not satisfying, especially the salad dressed with a putrid dressing. For desert (on the house for the birthday girl) we ordered some red velvet cheesecake. It was decent, nothing amazing. We will not be back because it was overpriced and had nothing really special to offer.

“Average food above average price.”
Reviewed March 27, 2014 via mobile

This review is based on 2 different occasions. Our first time we ordered wine very overpriced and everything you could find in the grocery store. Had ahi tuna and stuffed peppers. Tuna was typical and the peppers cheese tasted fake. I did enjoy the water bottles on the table. Very nice for water drinkers! 1st visit our steaks were cooked perfect and were very good quality. Although the bernaise sauce and burgundy mushrooms were awful. The manager did approach our table and asked how everything was . We said "good"and he actually responded "oh good that was easy." What?!?! Not very professional. Carrot cake was not homemade and too sweet. Very small piece for $7. The 2nd visit we just ordered steaks. This time they were very fatty and the favor wasn't as good as the first. Very disappointed will not try again. No one approached us the 2nd visit.
