Review of Blue Ash Chili

Blue Ash Chili
Ranked #1 of 65 Restaurants in Blue Ash
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: $1 - $11
Cuisines: American
Description: Since 1969 Blue Ash Chili's premium chili has been made with the same family recipe using only top-quality ingredients. It's not too spicy and served Cincy-style: cheese coneys, 3-, 4-, 5- and even 6-ways. Our restaurants have the feel of a small town diner and the dining room and carryout line are always packed with regulars. In 2010, Blue Ash Chili was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-in, & Dives on the Food Network

Love this family restaurant! They always have great food and great service. Go there about 2 times a week. It may be old, it has been operating since 1969. I used to work in restaurants and if most of you could see the kitchens of some of the restaurants that you eat at, you most likely would never go back. So, the better choice of word is aged or well seasoned!

This was second restaurant on Guy's list for Cincinnati that we ate at. We were looking forward to trying Cincinnati style chili and a Guy recommendation. We ordered the 6 way, a side of onion rings and a BLT. The best thing I can say about the food is that they give you huge portions for the price. The chili just did not wow us. We had very good service, the restaurant was full so we were seated in front of the kitchen service area which was not a problem. I think we were in and out of there in 30 minutes. I an glad I tried it but I would not return.

We really enjoyed our first taste of Cincinnati-style chili. Our server (Mark) gave us a complimentary sample before we ordered, which was really helpful. We enjoyed the huge portions of the 3-way and the 4-way we ordered. The food is great. Yes, the diner is a little on the grungy side, but this is a diner. We'll be back!

We went here because of the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode and thought everything Guy said was exactly right. The Cincinnati chili was excellent and it was fun to see the menu with all the items that had been featured on the show. We didn't get the 6-way, but the 5-way platter was huge and very good and others in our party had the salads with chili and hot dogs with chili and everyone really liked it. The prices absolutely can't be beat - six adults and the whole bill was only $65 and that was with five $5 milkshakes!

We had a great time at Blue Ash Chili, the food was good (if you like "diner food") and the women serving there were a HOOT! However, the floors were sticky, the bathroom floor was soaking wet, and the building lacked a general clean feeling. I WOULD go back, but might bring my own hand sanitizer. :-)
