“A disappointment in Amish Country”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

We were given this name by more than one person as a "typical Amish " place to eat. It was just a simple diner with people dished in Amish clothes serving mediocre food. My seasonal strawberry salad had powdered Parmesan cheese on it. Very poor quality.I asked them to substitute Swiss cheese for the Bleu listed on the menu. They said they couldn't but my husband's dish came with Swiss cheese. His soup was overly salty and tasted like canned chicken noodle soup. A disappointing meal.

“Variety of pies”

Stopped in for a piece of pie which they are famous for. Pie was very good, service was a little lacking.

We ha these amazing BLTs with fries and sweet potato fries. Amish homemade peanut butter rspread and apple butter are already on the table! If you can get in - you should!

“Deliciously quaint!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

I visit Amish Country at least twice a year and always have at least one meal at B&W. Probably the best value anywhere is theie Cup of Chili served with a large hunk of local swiss cheese and a thick slab of homemade brown bread...all for $2.49! The lines can be long, but the efficient staff moves and serves quickly! Great pie for dessert! Genuinely old-fashioned decor which I love! It probably hasn't changed in years! The locals certainly do eat here, and that always means something!

“Quaint & Pies”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

We hung around sight-seeing longer than expected so we decided to get dinner before driving the hour and a half home. Not too many places were open so we decided to give this place a try. Other people had the same idea but we didn't have to wait long for a table over-looking the sidewalk and street. There was something on the menu for each of us - none of us went away hungry! The list of pies for the day was on a board in this dining area and it was interesting to see the name of the pie being erased as the last slice of that type was sold for the day - there were many to choose from and they went fast!
