As a group, we have stayed at Zinck's Inn for the past 3 years. It is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. The cost is very reasonable. The gathering area w/ evening snacks, games and a fire place is very homely. The view from the back is awesome. Our group loved it. Ask about Jonas, he works for the facility and will arrange for you to eat at an Amish home. The food was plentiful and delicious.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the back side of the motel.

I have stayed here a couple of times and even bought a few gift certificates for relatives too. If you are looking for a clean hotel near Amish Country, this is a good one. No bells and whistles but very nice staff, clean rooms with all oak furniture, nice breakfast in the morning complete with Amish homemade bread.
This hotel is located just outside of Berlin. They have another location that is in Berlin as well - not as big and right on a very busy street near all the shops. I personally like being a bit out of Berlin because the traffic can be awful on busy days.
This is always my first choice when looking for a room. I like that I can book online using their website and compare prices for the days. It is always less expensive (and less crowded!) to visit Amish Country throughout the week. Sunday is the cheapest day, but nearly EVERYTHING is closed since it's a religious day for the Amish. The Amish do not work on this day either, so they do not do Sunday sales at their homes businesses.

This was our first time visiting this area and we could not have picked a better place to stay!!! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and we appreciated the nice view from our lower back rooms. We enjoyed the dining/sitting room with it's fireplace, cozy sofa and chairs, and the many games to choose from. The cookies, chips and popcorn, along with the choices of beverage (coffee, hot chocolate, teas), were a nice addition to the evening fun. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked, with a nice variety of items.
When we visit again, this will definitely be our first choice of hotel!!!

Room Tip: We would recommend the back, lower level rooms as they have the best view. If you happen to have an...

We had a chance to stay here the week of May 20th. Our room had a jacuzzi and a sofa, microwave and small refridgerator. All of which made our stay very comfortable. The view was wonderful. If you stay here you may want to ask to stay on the back side of the inn....much quieter than in the front where you may hear some traffic noise, but it's Amish country so I don't think there would be a lot of noise. The staff is wonderful. We were given several suggestions of restaurants and did find 2 of them. For a real Amish experience, try Boyd and Wurthmanns right in Berlin....good home cooking! The only drawback I can write about is the Inn is on a hill, so you have to walk downhill on the parking lot or use the stairway to get to the back of the building. For those who have no walking problems this should not be a issue.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the backside of the building if you have no issue walking. Our room was right bes...

We stayed at Zinck's Carriage House just recently. Our stay was very pleasant. At first I wasn't sure of staying in "the attic" room, but found it very roomy, clean and comfy quiet, with two dormer windows to give us just the right amount of sunlight. The walk up the hill to main street was challenging but good exercise. Everything was close by and enjoyable. Our room had all the amenties we needed, a sofa, little fridge, snacks in a basket, cleanliness and peacefulness. We would go back again. Only drawback we found was that we had to go to the Zinck's Inn to have breakfast, it too was good though.

Room Tip: Would enjoyed our room in the attic...it was very roomy and quiet.

My hubby and I stayed at Zinck's Inn this past Sunday and Monday nights. This is our third stay at Zinck's. The inn is very clean, staff is friendly, and the location is great! It is within walking distance of the town of Berlin. During previous visits, we have walked to town and enjoyed live music on the square in the evening. On Sundays, there are no businesses open; however, there is an East of Chicago Pizza place in town that is open and the pizza is very good. Zinck's offers snacks in the evening for guests - pretzels, chips, and a variety of cookies (which are yummy!). The inn also offers a basic continental breakfast. It is also pretty quiet. We prefer to stay in the rooms "downstairs" because of the view into the fields.

We spent a weekend in February at this Inn with friends. The rooms were very clean. It was great having an entrance to the outside as well to the inner hallway. I had left my hair dryer at home and was glad that they had some to borrow, you just need to ask at the front desk. We had fun in the evenings playing the games in the Gathering Room. The breakfast was good. It is typical hotel breakfast.
