“Avalanch Snow Tubing Park Is A Blast”
Review of Mad River Mountain

We went the day after Christmas and had a blast. I thought the price was fair for the 3 hours of riding. The staff was very friendly and all seemed to really be into their customers enjoying the outing spending extra time to tie a family's tubes together for group rides. The tubing areas were well organized and very well put together. An excellent facility. There were 2 moving walkways to get folks & tubes up the hill. I timed a few runs and each took about 12 to 15 minutes total round trip time. So even though the lines could get long it actually went pretty quick.

We were all shocked a bit that first ride at how freaking fast you flew down that hill. Don't get scared off as it does get easier and more fun on successive runs. We will definitely visit again.

We've been here three times and have never been disappointed. Staff is GREAT and they never miss an opportunity to brag on their resort, so they take great pride in the place. This year, the snow was awesome, even after the massive rains in late December. They do a great job grooming. We were able to see a bit of the Louie Vito Rail Jam, which was also good. Our nine year old has a great time skiing here.

Brought the family for Christmas Night fun. The tubing lanes are fun and each has its own unique hills, bumps and slope speed. Definitely a thrilling ride and fun for everyone.
We enjoyed sitting by the fire area outside. The food was fair, typical concession fast frozen food.
Unfortunately, the staff was very disorganized on the tube launching and spent a lot of time disagreeing on how many tubes could tie up. The runs are quicker with 4-5 tubers together. Solo tubers often stopped well short of the end, causing a long walk to exit and slowing down the tube launching. Frustrated workers created frustrated customers who just wanted to have fun and slide down on tubing slopes all night.

I came here because it is the closest ski resort to Ohio State which is where I go. They have a bunch of awesome events going on all the time and there are a lot of slopes. They have a pretty big selection of food too. Overall, the snow was great and there was a very large selection of runs to go down. Anything from difficult to super easy. I am definitely going to be coming back.
