“Always a Favorite!”
Reviewed December 28, 2012 via mobile

My husband & I eat here all the time. It is one of my favorite places to go for a quick date night. It can, however, get expensive. Especially if you have drinks, an appetizer and dessert.
The bar staff is always friendly and seems to be the same people all the time. The portion sizes are large too. Two people could easily share one meal. I would recommend eating here!

“A disappointment”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

I have always enjoyed this place in the pastso Inwas surprised with this trip's disappointing performance. I always knew the prices were a little high, but that was allowed if thhe food was good- not so this time. A group of us go there each year for dinner. We make reservations for a party of 5 to 7 people. Usually they seat us in one of the side rooms. However this time we were seated in the main dining area - and was it LOUD! We could hardly have a conversation with al, the noise. We ordered our cocktails and waited for awhile for them. By the time we received them, the ice had melted diluting the flavor to a watery and tasteless liquid(probably because they were sitting at the bar waiting to be served). I ordered a chicken tuscan salad. There was very little chichen and it was shredded into small bits in the salad - not a grilled piece as described on the menu, and it was a pricy salad - definitely not worth the money. My husband ordered a pasta dish thagt had sausage - but so little that it did not enhance the flavor of the dish. Skmeone might think why didn't we complabin or send things back. But we don't like doing thagt when we are dining with other people as it spoils the evening for everyone and then the others feel that they should wait until your food comes before they will eat. Service wasOK but slow as in the drinks. We won't be returning to this place next year.

Great variety. Authentic Italian food. The Greene location is easy to access with lots of shopping. Lamb chops, veal, ravioli, calamari were over the top outstanding.

“Extremely Overpriced!”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

A friend invited me out to dinner at Brio and I selected the sweet potato chicken risotto. While the dish tasted great, there were only 2 small cubes of chicken in the whole dish, about 0.4 oz. The dish was priced $16.95. It should have costed about $2. As there were only the 2 pieces of chicken, about a dozen small cubes of sweet potato, and about 2 stocks of asparagus cut up. It was significantly overpriced as are many of the meals at Brio. I would suggest you try any of the other lovely restaurantes The Greene has to offer. Suggest you take a pass on Brio!

“A Continuing return restaurant...”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

We visit Brio's on average once a month... In warmer weather a great place to enjoy your food outside... Too many favorites to list; but the Tuscan Pork Chops are "always" not only tasty, but moist, never dry. Great assortment of wines to choose from... and wonderful desserts, if you're not too full!
