“Nice selection”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

They have a nice selection of entrees, pizzas and salads. The sandwiches are good and the pizza is very well done. They also have some very good salads like the "drunken goat" plus a nice selection of craft beers.

“Nice mall sit down dining”
Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

Recently dined here after reading other reviews. Food is solid-everything we had was good. Pizza is "gourmet" but it's tasty. Atmosphere is casual and as the place fills up, it gets noisy. We went early (5:15) on a Friday night and by time we left at 6:15, there was not an empty table to be had. If you are at the mall and looking for a good sit down pizza or calzone meal, this is a good place to try.

“Above average pizza for a mall location”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Spinoza's is fairly small and very casual, typical of a sit-down mall eatery. There are both booths and tables, with a few seats at the bar facing the open kitchen. This area is a little loud between the bar and open kitchen, so get a booth closer to the outside (or sit on their patio, weather permitting) for a quieter meal. A small band platform is near the mall side entrance; they were advertising weekend music, mainly acoustic and jazz, but I bet it's pretty loud in such a small place. We ordered a medium Greek Isle pizza with whole wheat crust, and a Big Fat Greek Salad to share; two of us finished the salad but had half the pizza left to take home. The whole wheat crust was thin and crispy, and the pizza loaded with toppings including feta cheese, artichoke hearts, Kalamata olives, chicken, sun-dried tomatoes and creamy Tzatziki sauce added right before serving. It was delicious, as was the salad - pretty much a standard Greek salad with banana peppers, but very fresh. It would be a full meal for one, a generous side for two. I also had a local microbrew from their menu of about 10, an Ohio "Black Lab" ale that was very good. Service was friendly and prompt. This area is heavy on chain restaurants, so Spinoza's is a good option if, like us, you can't face a meal at Taco Bell or McDonald's.

“Below average Italian food”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

Good service but the food is definitely not authentic Italian cuisine. Pizza was very disappointing. Salad was average.

Thank you for visiting Spinoza's and taking time to write a review. You are 100% correct in your remark that we are not authentic Italian food. Actually, we don't try to be. We focus on pizza and salads with ingredient combinations that reflect numerous cuisines. While we hope to make raving fans of everyone who visits us by sourcing local ingredients, preparing all our ingredients fresh every day, and meticulously training our staff to produce pizzas and salads they are proud of, we know we don't fit everyone's taste. We hope you give us another try next time you are in town.

“real hand tossed dough”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Not only is the dough hand made but they use a house made sauce of San Marzano tomatoes which are a delicacy and rite of passage to great pizza. I found out that the owner was at Pacchia when it was the reigning king of the Oregon district and prior to that honed his skills at the Pizza Factory. No wonder the margherita pizza was so good. Kylie was a lovely waiter who treated us well. I have never recommended a mall destination frankly because I don't care for malls but while my car was being coddled at the Sears repair shop and we had time on our hands, it was close and a perfect way to spend a leisurely lunch. It is not cheap by fast food pizza standards but it is covered in the finest ingredients and even locally sourced meats, so it is worth the indulgence.
