Stayed here 4 nites, visiting Cleveland. Decent free bkfast with make it yourself waffles. Would stay here again. Very clean and quiet. Guests sign contract re: kids curfew (10pm) warning re:noise. No problem here since i don't have little kids running around. Apparently there is a huge water slide and pool area and first night, there were lots of families in hotel using pool, which did not look sparkly clean to me. Nice work out room with free weights. A/C had musty smell initially when turning on, but for most nights I turned off and opened windows for cool night air, albeit a little noisy, overlooking highway. Next time, I'll request room on other side of hotel. Phil the Fire restaurant next door for Soul food was horrible. Waited over an hour for our food after ordering. Finally told nice waitress, that I would give her 10 more mins. She was apologetic and said kitchen was having "trouble". Glass partitions in kitchen, so guests can seel their food on plates piled up, but not ready to bring out for some reason. Fried chicken was good, but not worth the wait. Best thing on menu was the corn bread with whipped cinnamon butter. Much better choice was House of Pho, in TJ Maxx center.

Room Tip: Third floor had Cleveland Sleep Clinic, so you're sure to get a quite sleep if you're located on 3rd fl.

This was a good clean hotel with a very nice pool area - including a water slide. The front desk, and housekeeping staff were attentive and efficient. The breakfast also had a good variety of items, but was busy, and the single attendant seemed pressed to keep up. They ran out of plastic spoons on day 1 - how does a marriott do that?

Room Tip: Lower lever room on the east side was quiet

Was looking for lodging for myself and three teens while in the Cleveland area at the end of July (college visits/sightseeing). Wanted a two-room suite with two queen beds, which was not easy to find. After much searching, booked a "Queen Suite" via a phone call with the hotel and was given a terrific rate for two nights (Friday/Saturday). Our suite was HUGE! Bedroom with two queen-sized beds, flat-screen TV, bench, and still plenty of room to move about. The "living area" had a sofa bed, two chairs, "coffee table" (two ottomans and two small tables which could be moved), & flat screen TV in main area. Off to side was a built-in desk and a countertop with microwave and fridge plus storage cabinets. There were two closets for clothing/luggage and large add'l space by one of the closets where we stored some things as well. Decor was contemporary and original, and seemed bright and new. Rooms appeared clean. Hotel has waterslide built into side of building (its hours are different from the main pool), plus pool and hot tub. The included breakfast was terrific, and had the most variety I've ever seen in a hotel breakfast...the typical cereal, bagels, muffins, waffle maker...3 bowls of fresh fruits...plus a fridge full of breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit cups, milk, and more. Breakfast seating area was very large, and workers were seen cleaning up and refreshing supplies on both mornings. Front desk personnel were friendly. The only difficulty during the stay was that they were having trouble with the elevators. Luckily, there were two of them on the property, and one always be functioning...you just sometimes had to walk a bit out of your way. Proximity to Downtown Cleveland and local universities (Case Western, John Carroll) was decent and free parking a plus. In addition to on-site restaurant, there is a Bob Evans and Red Lobster very close to property.

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites for two nights with my teen and tween at the beginning of the summer. We arrived late on a Saturday night, and were grateful to find a decent restaurant on site. Phil the Fire was more than decent, it had the best comfort food: fried chicken and waffles.

In addition to a fresh, clean, and spacious room, we also enjoyed free WiFi, complimentary breakfast, and an indoor pool with a 2-story water-slide. Well, my son was eager to check out the water-slide, but it happened to be closed when he tried to access it.

Nonetheless, the Fairfield Inn & Suites exceeded my expectations. We were very comfortable in the room, and I especially enjoyed that the T.J. Maxx down the street had great deals and a great selection!

I was also surprised to find that at the end of the corridor, one of the hotel rooms was a designated Sleep Center. But, considering how well we slept in the room, perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise at all!

I appreciate your compliments about Phil the Fire restaurant which I, too, believe has great comfort food. We do hope you will come and stay with us again, especially if you plan to go back to T.J. Maxx for more great deals.

I stayed here for just two nights and it was my firs visit. The hotel is just a few years old and is a step up from the Fairfields I have stayed in elsewhere. I had a two room suite which was well equipped with a microwave, fridge (mini). There is a nice workstation area where you also monitor CNN on the TV without craining your neck like at some hotels I've stayed in. Two TV's, one in the living room and one in the bedroom worked fine. Each area had its own wall installed AC unit which were fully functional and quiet. Breakfast was available during the week by 6:30 a.m. A nice assortment of breakfast items was available; all included in the nightly rate. There is a restaurant next door and a Red Lobster across the street.

This is not a low cost area for Marriott lodging. You're not likely to find much that's nice at a rate under $140 a night. This Fairfield was $184 out the door. Nice place. I recommend it. Just dig a little deeper than normal for this brand here in the Cleveland area.
