“Overpriced and Dangerous”
Review of Greenhills Adventure Park - CLOSED

Greenhills Adventure Park
Attraction details
Reviewed June 9, 2013

We went as a big family group and the cost was outrageous. $35 each for entry and if you wanted to go on quad bikes, go karts, electric cars, rock climbing and mini golf it will cost you extra $$$.

This is not the worst part. One of our group was on the rock climb wall when the hold snapped in half coming off the wall while he was hanging off it. Consequently he fell off the wall and was lucky to not have the hold cut his arm open or fall on his head and break his skull. It was very traumatic.

The Greenhills Adventure Park Manager showed absolutely no concern that the wall had not been maintained or that it was completely unsafe to use. He did not take any of our details, lodge an incident report or even close down the rock climbing wall. Unacceptable. We left immediately after this incident.

Many other attractions are also broken. Paddle boats just steer you in a complete circle, due to broken steering. Flying fox is dangerously low and unusable for anyone taller than 1m. Go karts also suck. Out of 6 Go Karts available, one broke down immediately and one got a flat tyre.

Poorly maintained, overpriced, and incredibly dangerous. We will never return to Greenhills Adventure Park.

Took 2 14 girls who like the outdoors. Their review was the water slide was fun but they had to be careful when they entered the cold water as it was not very deep, so at first they grazed their backs. The flying fox was too low to the ground so could be dangerous if they weren't careful. The put put was ok but the numbers were difficult to see or some weren't even there! Glad we had a shopper docket so 1 entered for free, otherwise we wouldn't probably have gone. It's a shame as the park needs some TLC, it's not how it used to be, but still a good few hrs of fun.

Do not forget the voucher from the back of the shopping docket which gives you two for the price of one. Everyone over 120cm costs $35 dollars each so for a day out for a family of four it is $140 dollars. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad but there are add ons. The wall climb is $5 per climb per person, same for go carts and ride on bikes...

The highlight for the kids was the water slides so go on a warm day. For dad it was the archery and mum the canoes.

A very good fun day for the family. The day we went, the sun was shining and quite hot so we loved using all the slides and another family with us decided to take a canoe trip which they also loved.
