Excellent in every respect. Could easily have stayed longer than our three days. Will come again. We spent more time relaxing in the place than out and about in the area. Early morning, dusk and night views across to Victor Harbour are worth savouring Jenny the proprietor was very helpful too. Lots of bird life with evening and morning chorus.

Thank you for adding your review.
After spending over 18 months searching for the right property for luxury nature-based accommodation then another two years going through the design and council planning process to build the villas it is very encouraging when guests voice their appreciation of our efforts.
We look forward to seeing you next time when you are ready for another break from the city.

We just spent our 40th wedding anniversary at this beautiful retreat and experienced great sadness on leaving it behind. The most amazing views are nearly overshadowed by the comfort inside. Lots of bush walks and wildlife. We can't wait to go back in the winter months to enjoy the log fire and the mist over the hills beyond. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing!
We stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

The owners thought of EVERYTHING you could possibly want, except a b.b.q :))

The breakfast provisions provided was ample for both of us, as a Chef, the kitchen is superb, the bed was amazing, you could lay in bed, looking out over the views, I was able to take amazing sunsets with my smart phone from the balcony. Victor Harbor looked like an oyster shell at night with the lights. Everything was provided for our comfort and some.
Highly recommended!!!

We rate this property the highest accolade possible, 6 stars, better than any 5 star resort :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sky lodge, there are only 3 of these, all with different names. The views are amazi...

Just spent a very enjoyable 4 nights in the Sky Villa at the Seascape Retreat, Hindmarsh Valley. Magnificent views down to Victor, reminded me of a Heysen painting. I woke in the morning to Magpies warbling and in the evening listened to the Kookaburras laughing. Saw lots of birds including Rosellas, Lorikeets, and Superb Blue Wrens. Also had a number of kangaroos around the place.

4 very dark moonless nights so a wonderful display of stars. Quite breathtaking!

Beautifully fitted out. Large very modern bathroom, well equipped kitchen, big comfortable bed with good quality linen, and a cosy chaise lounge. Excellent TV and stereo. A lovely balcony which proved to be a very comfortable place to sit, read and relax.

Only 15 min drive to Victor Harbor and 1 hour or so from the city. Jenny and Jean-Pierre were most helpful. I have come home feeling rested and refreshed.

Beautiful new accomodation in the hills with viewsdown to Victor Harbour. Excellent bed and well fitted out kitchen and living area. Great deck to spend time on watching kangaroos, birds, alpacas & sheep. Convenient to the whole Fleurieu Penninsula.

There is not one bad thing I can say about Seascape Retreat, it is everything you could hope for and more.
You approach the retreat on a dirt road and we appreciated the warning from our host to be aware of kangaroos, sure enough there were 2 sitting in the middle of the road as we rounded a corner. You feel so isolated from the hustle and bustle of the real world and yet are only a short 10 minute drive away from Victor Harbor.
There are 3 villas to choose from and we stayed in the aptly named Serenity Lodge. The views from every corner (including the bed) are simply stunning and the sound of birds and sheep are all you will hear. We spent most of our stay on the huge front deck but there is also a sheltered rear courtyard, both areas have a table and chairs.
Inside there is everything you are likely to need, large lounge suite, dining table, fully equipped kitchen, huge bed, even bigger bathroom, separate toilet, 2 flat screen tvs, dvd player and stereo with ipod dock, The kitchen is well stocked with breakfast supplies, plus there are lots of little extras like olive oil, fresh coffee and every kitchen implement imaginable including chopsticks!
The shower was great, there are toiletries provided plus a hairdryer and even a first aid kit for any little mishaps.
I have to admit one of my favourite things was the warm and snuggly throw rug that I used both nights when we sat on the deck in unseasonably cold summer weather.
In summary I cant imagine anyone not loving it here and personally I can't wait until we can visit again.

Room Tip: All 3 villas have the same stunning view but each is completely private.

Thank you 'Sharmun'.
As Seascape Retreat had only been open for a few weeks when you stayed, we thought it would take some time before we saw any reviews on Trip Advisor!
We greatly appreciate you taking the time to post your review as we know how valuable reviews are to those planning a holiday to unknown destinations and accommodation.
Thank you again, we look forward to seeing you next time!
