This is a lovely heritage property screaming for restoration and pristine property management.
Our stay was horrendous .
A mass noisy altercation occurred with external people confronting a drunken guest in the upstairs guest area and had to be vocally evicted. The noisy board floors squeaked non stop during the ordeal.
Then the wind rattled our window at 2am until I couldn't stand it any more and got up to jam some paper in the window to stop the rattling.
My stay was intolerably unpleasant and I could not risk another stay at The Anchorage. The receptionist was very welcoming and pleasant but unpleasant smells came from the outside kitchen window and the carpark environment was third world.
This property needs major reimbursement to bring it up to a standard to exploit its heritage and million dollar location. And then -- no hot water in showers.-- What a disgrace and a liability for Victor Harbor!.More
