We headed to the tourist informant centre who recommended this hotel. By booking through them they take a 10% cut of the price. Always nice to support the tourist info place & they got the price knocked down by $20.
So value for money is good. Room was clean and tidy albeit dated which is to be expected for the age of the property. Our room had a view of the water which was nice and access to a balcony. Yucky cigarette butts left in ash tray on table though. Second room contained a single bed, bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities. Because this room has no natural light a more substantial light would be handy. No built in aircon or heating however portable heaters supplied which worked a treat.
Bathroom was small but usable. Unfortunately they had forgotten to replenish the soaps etc so we used some we had brought along. Could have asked at front desk, I'm sure they would have happily fixed issue.
The hotel had two lovely sitting rooms that could be used by guests which looked well kept & inviting.
We ate at the restaurant for dinner and service was quick and pleasant. We felt that the cost was fairly high for the quality.
