We arrived at the Quorn Caravan Park after being flooded out of the northern Flinders Ranges and it was like an oasis - dry, peaceful, clean and well maintained. All that previous reviews had promised. Our unpowered site was pleasant and we found the communal facilities more than adequate. The owner's commitment to maintaining good environmental standards was evident in most aspects of the park. The location is great - quiet and picturesque, with lovely big trees but an easy walk into the town which offers some good dining options and of course, the Pichi Richi Railway!

We have really appreciated your delightful review ... we're making environmental and other improvements all the time. I wish we could recycle our grey water and also put in more solar panels - we're about to install an extra 4 kW on the office roof - but advice from water and solar experts say that's all we can do. Sometimes it is not a simple technological fix to problems.
Having said that, our big investment in rainwater tanks has (finally) paid off, with substantial winter rains. Most rainwater will be going to our understorey planting which will, in turn, go to our lovely old Gums. And the Flinders Ranges is looking beautiful - green, creeks flowing. We're all smiling in the Flinders.
Thanks again, kind regards, Bronwyn

We stayed in the cabins but had a look around at the communal kitchen area, laundry, park bathrooms - they were spotless and well maintained.
Friendly, helpful proprietors.
Two minute walk through the historic railway station to the pubs, great cafe.
Booked 2 nights - stayed 3 nights.

We can highly recommend this caravan park having stayed there on several occasions in our camper trailer. Bronwyn and Gary are welcoming hosts. The park is well run and cared for and an ideal place to explore the Flinders Ranges. There are many interesting walks in the area and Dutchman Stern is spectacular.

A beautiful review - thanks very much!
We promote the Dutchmans Stern (CP) loop walk as 'one of the nicest walks in the Flinders Ranges' and not one guest (in our eight years) has disagreed!
The walking trail at Warren Gorge is wonderful; straight up and straight down to Devils Peak (spectacular views similar to Dutchmans). Mount Brown Conservation Park is lovely too. A half hour drive to the Southern Flinders will see you in popular Alligator Gorge.
We appreciate your review and we hope to see you again, in Quorn in the Flinders!
Kind regards, Bronwyn

We enjoyed staying in the Quorn Caravan Park among the gum trees, nestled in the foothills of the Flinders Ranges. Amenities include a laundry with front loading washing machines and clean well maintained bathroom facilities
The park is walking distance to the historic buildings walk and local hotels. Take a steam train ride: available on weekends.

There's plenty to do in Quorn and we're happy that you enjoyed our lovely trees, our 're-purposed' amenities block, now guest laundry - and fabulous front loaders (only 30L water compared with 190L for top loaders). All facilities are primarily cleaned with vinegar, eucalyptus oil. Works well!
It's a lovely stroll over the railway line into town and the Pichi Richi Railway, additionally to weekends, also runs during the school holidays (in season). For more information, visit their website (sorry unable to include this volunteer organisation's website here).
Thanks for taking the time to write your review.

We stayed at Quorn CP on the way to Arkaroola. We arrived too late to set up camp, so stayed in a cabin. The cabin was sensational. It was simple (everything you could possibly need though) and was absolutely spotless. Not sure how they achieved that given dust is part of life up there! What we liked was the total absence of fanfare, no big marketing strategies, just a simple CP that made us feel welcome, and provided the perfect stop over. I also thought it was fantastic how the host suggested we visit some local sights which we definitely would not have done without his guidance. We were only passing through. We found Quorn delightful and a good place for a holiday rather than a stopover. We HIGHLY recommend this little gem up north from Adelaide.

Thanks for your generous review and understanding of our environment. We're happy that you enjoyed our cabin and had the opportunity to visit in and around Quorn. You are quite correct in saying that Quorn is delightful - beautiful wide streetscapes, lovely heritage buildings and wonderful community.
Gary and I enjoy talking with guests and I'm glad you enjoyed his travel tips and I very much enjoyed our chat the following morning.
(We're happy that you had a great time at Arkaroola, too!)
Kind regards, Bronwyn
