Went on the Great White Shark Dive with Adventure Bay, chose this provider due to them not baiting the sharks. On first impression we were a little disappointed with the boat, it is very basic and very open, not ideal on a cold day, and it was a very cold rough day. We headed out stopping at various stops to see sea lions, dolphins, eagles and beautiful scenery, the crew were very knowledgeable and was happy to explain all about the various animals. It takes approx 2.5 hours to get out to the Neptune Islands, and as mentioned previously it was a rough day, many people were very sea sick. but the staff again did everything they could to help those who were suffering. On arrival in the Neptune Islands, the sharks arrived in minutes, and before long the cage was in the water. There were six sharks spotted during the tour, but there were periods of time where there were no sharks, this is a wild animal so this should be expected, but everyone on the boat got to see the sharks and everyone was very happy, it was awesome. The crew constantly provided hot and cold drinks, and there was pretty much not stop food throughout the day. The crew really make this trip, they are all passionate about the wildlife and their jobs, and happy to chat and have fun! Great day out, would definitely go again....but maybe in the summer!

We went on this tour on Saturday 26th July and I just can't sing their praises enough. Matt, Stacey, Sam and macca were a wonderful crew who looked after everyone on board. It was great with only 12 people on the boat. There was heaps of food and drink and blankets if we were cold. The equipment was clean and they were very good with explaining safety and how to use everything. We were able to go in the cage whenever there was a free slot and we could stay in for as long as we wanted! I saw one shark and my partner saw 4!! It was just incredible to see these creatures in the wild. I find the idea of acoustic attraction much safer and better for the sharks too, as they don't attack the cage or become aggressive. I am so happy I chose this company over the larger one! They also let anyone use their camera and make the photos available to you for free online. One bit of advice- take seasickness tablets the night before and morning of!! Can get a bit nasty if you don't!!! Thanks again for memories that will last forever.

Hi Jessica, thanks for writing a review on trip advisor! it is really worth while as it gives our future potential guests some idea on how we operate, how magnificent the Great Whites are and a little helpful advice like you said with the sea sick tablets goes a long way! Went on the last day of May and saw around 5-7 sharks. Truly amazing experience. Best thing about it was you never felt you were in harm's way. Adventure Bay Charters doesn't chum the water or baited lines to draw them in, so there was never a moment when the sharks were aggressive. The trip really makes you sit and think about protecting and conserving these awesome predators.
