We have not visited here for awhile and they are so busy they now have 2 sittings on weekends. We were there for first sitting at 6pm so there were few diners so service was fast and very friendly. The menu is broken into various categories such as Tasting Plates, Pizzas, mains, pub Favorites, kids Meals, Desserts.
We opted for a Main course and Dessert only, but tasting platters consisted of cured and smoked small goods, smoked and pickled fish and calamari and ash Chèvre cheese with balsamic and mixed Olives and were $17-$19. There was also a range of Pizzas ranging from $20-25.
We chose as mains Saltbush Lamb Shanks with roasted Vegetables, pea purée and garlic jus, a real hit that was superbly cooked and just fell off the bone. The other choice was local Mulloway, baked kifler potatoes, chorizo, Spanish onion, capers, baby spinach and Salsa Verde, a wonderful fresh and delicious choice, that was a taste sensation!
Other mains were steaks $33-35, Kangaroo $28, prawn and crab linguini $27, crab cakes $26, or warmThai salad $23. There was also a seafood platter for two for $60, salt and pepper squid $25, Coorong mullet $25 or pork and sage sausages with mash $20.
Desserts were priced at $10-13, but their range of Cocolat dessert choices was too hard to pass up. We chose Rocky Road, Lime and Passionfruit cheesecake, Baileys embrace and Hazelnut delight all $10 and all delicious.
A wonderful evening and dinner and we would recommend this for lots of different occasions.
