“Great Whiting!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

Delicious South Australian whiting in Coopers Ale batter, two SA icons in one! Stunning views of Horseshoe Bay from restaurant. Cones of fish n chips on the deck are a huge serve, a cheaper option too.

“So Good!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

We visited the Flying Fish for lunch and both of us enjoyed King George Whiting that was cooked to perfection, paired with a chilled glass of wine.

“Cafe ticks the boxes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

This place is in prime location with beautiful views over Horseshoe Bay. The restaurant is expensive but we never ate there so I can't comment on value. We had beer battered fish and chips in the Cafe as a late lunch for 4 adults and it was great value for money and very well executed. A nice bottle of chilled New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc rounded the meal out perfectly. 8/10.

“Love a feed of fresh fish”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

For what we got it was a little expensive. Two pieces of fish that could have been sgared by two people. The fish was rather greasy and the chips rather dry. I would go to a fish and chip shop next time. $13.90 a bit over the top.

“Fantastic view - terrible meal”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

Whilst visiting Port Elliot in Jan 2013 we had fish and chips for dinner at "The Flying Fish Cafe". As we were not dressed appropriately we ate out on the deck, instead of in the restaurant, whilst admiring the view.
We both had the "signature cone of coopers sparkling ale battered fish and chips",we were extremely disappointed with the meal as it was dripping with oil and were unable to eat it. The waitress came and asked if all was well, I don't usually complain but as she asked I expressed how we felt - her reply was "well you should have asked for it to be grilled!!!"...Never again...
