There is parking nearby and it's easy to see as you drive down the main street. Once you stop, you find that it's easy to access via a ramp and it takes you on a trip to yesteryear.

The carriage has been meticulously restored and has information boards throughout it that are fascinating... but head down to the carriages and you will be able to sit and enjoy a ride. They have put a video screen where the window was so you can virtually experience a train trip.

This is a really wonderful concept and … one should stop to experience this.

We explored this little gem on our last morning in Peterborough. What a pleasant surprise. The antique carriage has a wonderful display of the town's heritage and is most informative. By the time we had explored the extensive display, we had a strong appreciation of the town's past.

In a Railway carriage in the centre of town, this holds all the information of the town and surrounds. Worth a look.

You are transported back into the history of 1800 "Steam Train" adventure.
It is very interesting, as for its simplicity.
You sit in a "First Class" cabin seat, then look out your window to see Australian Railway History as it passes you bye.
Throughly enjoyable.

Only had a short time to visit and impressed with what we saw and read. Only wish that we had had a lot more time.
