“Great location and staff”
Reviewed May 4, 2013

We spent about half an hour here sampling the various reds on offer (they don't do any whites) and listening to the story behind the wines from the owner and another staff member. All of the reds were really great with the 2011 Shiraz being the stand out drop. I really like the laid back, rustic setup that the guys have here. The location is great and there are some excellent views outside the tasting area. Would definitely recommend this place over many of the other cellar doors.

“Fantastic View”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

Great view across the Onkaparinga Gorge, while you taste wine. This winery does 4 types of red wine & the occasional white. Their Tampranillo & Mourvedre varieties were a refreshing change from Pinot etc. would highly recommend the winery if you are in the area.

“Excellent wines, nice people”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

We hadn't heard of Samuel's Gorge before but went on the recommendation of a person at another cellar door. The wines are great, expensive but very well made. The cellar used to be a olive press so has some old memorabilia from those times. Great view over Onkaparinga gorge as well.

“Life doesn't get any better...”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

My partner and I visited Samual's Gorge with friends on a little winery trip. The place has an excellent view and charater to match. Over Easter they released their newest range of wines so there was a lot of people all laughing and relaxing and more importantly, loving the wine so much they walked out with a box. The staff all wore jeans and knitted jumpers and the large dog sat happily on his couch, it felt like you were at home. The wine... amazing. Both couples bought four bottles. Beautiful wine, smooth as Tom Jones. I'd definitely visit again... or at least buy more bottles online.

“best views”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

Small selection of very good wines. One of the best grenache we tasted in Mclaren Vale. What I liked best about visiting Samuel's Gorge is the view from the cellar door. Beautiful outdoor sitting area.
