We visited here yesterday for lunch and had the olives, bread and salted butter for starters and the marbled wagyu beef and pork belly with apple salad for mains. The salted butter is to die for, literally, if that was my last meal, i'd be a happy gal. The mains were nice too, I think I was the winner with the pork belly though! The wine....No sav blanc, which is disappointing - when we asked what would be a recommendation for something similar, the staff did not know...which for an expensive restaurant in an internationally acclaimed wine region, is not good! We ended up with a very sweet and fruity wine, that was not at all what we were looking for.....maybe our fault for not knowing our wines well enough.......or thiers for not knowing.... entrees start at $21, Mains are about $40 each, desserts start at $17, and sides are $8. We spent $141 for two people, with a starters to share, a bottle of wine and a mains each....so pretty pricey I think. Nice spot, grass for kids to run around, but no kids menu. There are alot of places to eat in McLaren Vale, I would say this place is upper market and not for kids/families.
