We spent the Oct. long weekend away with 13 persons including us. We stayed at the Shearers Quarters on the property. It was clean and tidy and very comfortable. Everything you could want and in the middle of SA. We ventured onto the SKY TREK 4 w.d. track (5 cars) and spent an enjoyable day completing the track. It was a first for my husband and I and we completed it with only a little hiccup. We were thankfully surrounded by wonderful experienced friends who guided us all the way. Probably wouldn't suggest "virgin 4 w.drivers" doing this track on their own, but with friends was o.k. Once we hit the high spot the views were magnificent. Carmel and family are a delight and so friendly.

The homestead at Willow Springs is everything you would hope for in accommodation of its type. It is a large and comfortable home located in the beautiful, natural environment of a working sheep property. The four adults in our group thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
Brendan and Carmel are excellent hosts who are there when you want them and not when you don't.
If you are keen to see the Flinders Ranges you would not do better than to stay here.

We have been here many times, as it is a great place to show our many overseas guests what the Flinders is like, travel through the awesome gorges, visit Blinman and the copper mines, walk into the Wilpena Pound Station, visit the town of Parachilna and eat some food made from native animals, do the fantastic 4WD track called "Sky Trek", and visit the "Must Do" Jeff Morgan Gallery at Hawker, see the abundant wildlife and be looked after by the owners of the Willow Creek Station, Brendan and Carmel Reynolds. Stay at/in their self managed accommodation ie: camping, caravans or facilities for couples, families and conferences, all of which are clean and comfortable, with an "Outback" rustic appeal. We can not recommend this experience highly enough. This is also the home of the Superhero known as the Phantom.

We traveled up with my brothers family,he has 2 young kids and we were worried they might get bored sitting down for 8 hours but they loved it. They were enthralled with the sheep as it was shearing time and the sheep were in the yards near the house. The Skytrek was awesome,as novices it was great fun and a bit of a challenge. Can't recommend it highly enough, we're going back in the spring , hopefully there's some rain over winter so the wild flowers will be out.

We were informed about Skytrek by some friends who had driven the old track. The station is pretty easy to locate and you get a really good sense of what your in for by just driving along the driveway. We did the track in our Subaru Forester 2011 AWD. We have had an Aluminium sump guard installed which paid for itself within the first 5 mins due to the large rocks that you drive over. The track was fine for this car. You just needed to choose the correct lines at time where ground clearance was going to be an issue. We also let our tire pressure down to 20 PSI.
We met up with another couple who were in a new Prado and were impressed at how the Forester handled the terrain. Before we did the track we couldn't find much information to whether our car would be suitable so that is why I am writing this review so people who don't own a big 4WD can actually still enjoy this great fun and challenging track, and fantastic views.
The owners have done a great job of provided an extremely detailed mud map with plenty of information about the history of the station.

Well worth the 6 1/2hrs to do the 79km track. Start as early as you can so that you have plenty of time to stop occasionally at the marker points to look around.

Will be recommending to other friends also when they visit the region.

We took our relatives to drive this track as they had not done it before. We had done it 4 times and enjoyed every minute of it. The track recently had a part changed and we thought it would have taken away from the original track. How wrong we were. The new track added more excitment and suspense. It is now in our opinion much better that the original track. The scenery is spectacular and now we think also doing the new part is a lot more fun.You do have to have a 4WD to get onto the track or do it with a tour company as an ordinary car would not be able to cope with the tack. Congratulations have to go to Brendan and Carmel owners of Willow Springs Station and the Skytrek for the track and allowing people onto their property to experience this great 4WD track and for making the new track so much better than the original was. Can't wait to return and do it all over again. .

Room Tip: There is a camping ground there on the Willow Springs property and also a farm house with facilities...

This sheep and cattle station is situated 7 km up a dirt road off the main road, through dry river beds and over small hills. We had booked the jackaroo's cottage but apparently there were workmen there, so were put into the main farmhouse, which we had all to ourselves, with its 4 bedrooms, very comfortable sitting and dining rooms and full kitchen. It was delightful, and our hosts gave us lots of useful tips. We cooked for ourselves and ate outside at several sitting/dining areas. We would highly recommend this place.
