We had a quiet enjoyable dinner at this restaurant in hahndorf on a Sunday night. Our waitress was the owner, a very pleasant chatty person who told us her vision for the restaurant was to go "upmarket". Our entrees of the scallops and zucchini flowers we enjoyed very much. We both had the pork belly and prawns for mains. the pork belly was dry, the prawns did'nt seem fresh, there was too much aioli and the dish was far too over salted. A number of items they had run out of - eg, some wines by the glass, the rosemary potatoes, and only 1 of 2 desserts was still available, and only 1 of that was available!!! Going upmarket means you don't make excuses for running out of dishes when the menu only consists of 3 entrees, 4 mains and only 2 desserts! Some work still needed here guys. The ambience of having dinner in an old historic house was pleasant, although a little cool with the 2 front doors open. The bones of the business are there, just more work is required.
