4 of us went there for lunch. It's on a corner on the main street in Hahndorf. When we walked in, a friendly lady gave us a few cheeses to try from the fridge. As we loved them all, we decided to sit down and share a couple of platters with cheeses we had tried, baguettes, nuts and cold cuts.

It was a lot of food and we barely finished the 2 platters, we even took some leftovers home! They also have nice cakes, tea, coffee etc. and the service was really good! FYI they don't take American Express.

Definitely go and try local cheeses! really tasty food :)

Thanks for your lovely feedback. I'm glad that you had more than enough to eat - and especially glad that you took the leftovers home!

While visiting Harndorf for the day we couldn`t resist stopping for some cheese tasting. At first the thought of goats camembert cheese wasn`t to appealing , until we tried it. Wow ! It was so yummy that we had to buy some plus a few other tasty treats. The young lady serving us was so nice and extremely helpful. Definately will be going back to Udder Delights when next in Adelaide.

What a great little cafe for lunch. We had the cheese basket. You pick which cheeses you want. It is for two. Arrives with hot steaming French bread, almonds, quince paste and crackers. Has an outdoor patio area for eating plus more seating inside. Now to find this cheese somewhere in town!

I hope you've had success in finding the cheese in town - we're sold through independent grocers and IGA's across Australia

Whilst we didn't manage to visit the cheese cellar, we purchased a Heysen Blue at a local fresh produce market. We found the Heysen Blue to be a delicious cheese, matched with white wine, crusty bread and most likely a good red also, but we demolished the cheese before finding out what else it was good with!

We're so glad you enjoyed our quince paste - we love it too! Its made by a local couple in an ajoining town called Oakbank. See you next time!
