Called into goolwa wharf fir a look, and stopped off at the distillery for a look, just a look. Ended up trying 3 beers, 1 stout, and an amazing whiskey. Atlantic crossing whiskey. Definitely recommend calling in. Fantastic service, great knowledge.

Had overseas visitors.
Took them to a few great spots around Goolwa.
He is a beer drinker so we went to the Steam Engine.
The guy behind the bar was flippant, bit rude and we felt a bit unwelcome.
Two of us wanted the light ale .... No can do, blamed the girl who didn't tap it and didn't tell him.
Other beers to strong for two of us so how about wine.
Some sweet but no red. No thanks.
Asked if they have live music .... No, it disturbs he beer. That was it.
I would not return.
Found a great little brewery at Willunga just down from the old pub. Go there!

Great atmosphere in what used to be an old train shed. Their IPA and Steam Ale is lovely, great hoppy beers, lovely on a hot day (or any other day for that matter).

On this visit I also tried one of their single malts - smooth and peaty, just the way I like it, yummy, though a bit expensive to buy a bottle.

A great spot for a drink. Includes locally brewed beers, whiskey and gin. If that doesn't work for you then try the local de groote coffee. The whiskey is excellent!

Delicious beers, a great spot at the end of the day. The patio outside is great, and popular! More tables outside would be very welcome! Dog friendly outside, and nice and cool inside the old warehouse. Lots of interesting things to look at inside.
