“Easy to find a see”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

Amazing tree. Mother Nature’s a wonderful artist. Just before you enter the village of Yungaburra the turn off is easily seen. Have a look at the village first. Very largely untouched with a lot of original buildings. The village has just opened the latest attraction "Avenue of Honour". A memorial to Australian troops who served, and died, in Afghanistan.

“Magnificent!”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

This strangler fig tree is said to be one of the largest in Queensland and is well worth the visit. There is a boardwalk right around the tree and you can actually step inside the curtain for photos. If only trees could talk, I wonder what stories it could tell us. The tree is surrounded by forest and has a sign with information about it. Take time to listen to the many birds.
The tree is located just outside the small township of Yungaburra on the Atherton Tablelands. From Yungaburra, head towards Atherton for one kilometre and follow the sign on the left side of the road towards the tree. A short drive along this narrow road will take you to a small car park, then follow the short track to the tree.
