Mossman Gorge Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #2 of 4 Mossman B&B and Inns
Reviewed September 14, 2007

This is a great B & B. We stayed for 2 nights in July ‘07. Mossman Gorge is close to the rainforest and Port Douglas. Amanda and Chris are terrific hosts. Their breakfasts are a memorable experience. We woke up to fresh baked croissants that smelled wonderful and tasted even better. Amanda had our breakfast spread on the veranda overlooking their view of the rainforest and visited by 2 friendly kookaburras and a variety of parrots. We also saw and heard a cacophony of cockatoos. The fruits were wonderful as well, and we were in good company with Amanda and Chris and the other guests. Amanda found us the perfect snorkel and dive excursion, and booked it for us as well. This is a great choice– easy to get to the rainforest and the ocean.

We stayed with Mandy and Chris for our first 3 nights in Australia ( we flew into Cairns from England) and couldn't have asked for a better start to our holiday. The accomodation was very good value for money and we were made very welcome. Breakfast on the verandah was awesome and there was even a kookaburra feeding on the railing! Mandy and Chris know all there is to know about the locality and arranged our Barrier Reef Trip and sent us off on a wonderful walk down the 'Bump Track'. They also booked our next accomodation for us.
We will never forget those first few days in Northern Queensland! Highly recommended.
