We were so excited to be going on this tour, but it was not as we had expected. Unfortunately the guide that took us on the walk did not seem particularly interested in telling us what there was to know about her
Tribes' interaction with the Forest, she only shared a few stories. I have spoken to others who have been on the same tour, with different guides and they loved it...so I may have to blame the guide, Rosie. The Forest itself is really beautiful and we had expected to have a swim in the rock pool but that did not happen. So overall a disappointing tour.

The Mossman Gorge is an amazing place to visit. The scenery is stunning & the gorge is a beautiful place to recharge the batteries of the soul. It's a very spiritual place for the local Kuku Yalanji people & also for the locals. Great tours offered by the Yalanji locals.
Our dining experience was not so great as there were many flies trying to land on our food which spoiled the experience somewhat.
The gallery is lovely but would be better if more local talent was showcased.

Our party of 13 enjoyed a morning at the center and the self guided walks in gorge. However 6 of us elected to stay on and take the 1 1/2 guided walk with Jennifer. This was a great decision even the two younger children settled into the walk and listened to our guide speak of the forest and the traditions of her people.

Thank you for a great experience would recommend this to all who have an open mind and a willingness to learn.

It was interesting to Hear the stories about how the trees, rocks etc were used and the clan interactions. We also had a very close encounter with a very long snake who was interested in our group, we gave him the respect he deserved and he slithered, slowly, into the bush. The operation was really well run : We had a tour booked though our accommodation but they forgot to give us a voucher number, no worries, the centre let us go through and made contact with our accommodation to sort it out rather than making it our problem.

Don't know if we were ever going to catch mud crabs, but our guide Linc was so informative & genuine in his care of his "land", that we felt priviledged to be able to share it with him.
