The Longhouse is an open air restaurant buried in the rainforest at Eco Village Resort. The restaurant interior is reminiscent of Thailand; all dark wood with a loofty ceiling. And with the Indonesian chef cooking beautiful curries, this place has lots of potential. But like many eateries in this area, the service was hestitant and atmosphere lacking giving an amateur feel to a restaurant that charges $30 for a main meal. Some suggestions for improvement would be having music playing, improving staff training, reducing the prices, and perhaps advertising the restaurant more widely (the locals commented that few people knew the restaurant was open to the public).
