“A great place to eat”

This restaurant was a real find. In total contrast to the place next door, which shall remain nameless, we got a warm welcome and a first class meal at a very fair price.

“Stumbled on this little piece of heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

AMAZING FOOD (I highly recommend the rump steak), great music, fantastic service, relaxed atmosphere and overall a highly pleasant dining experience. After being shooed out of another restaurant by unfriendly staff, we were highly impressed at Zenbah, so much so we ordered entree, main and dessert! Staff are outgoing and make you feel welcome.

I have been staying in mission beach for five months and eating at the zenbah most nights from the backpacker menu offered. usually i have the beef stirfry and is very good, although the chef is very friendly and makes me belgun food sometimes when i am homesick. We have many good nights here and 3 dollar tun beer is very good value. I have eaten from the normal menu a few times and is very good, but as a backpacker 11 dollars for a meal and beer is hard to pass. thank you zenbah for supporting me and keeping me well fed!

“Stay away from the back packer specials”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2012 via mobile

Got into town Friday afternoon and was told by our hostel staff that this was the place to be with live music and $8 backpacker meals. Got there around 5ish and had a few cocktails which were great but there must have been new staff on who were being trained as they didn't seem to know what they were doing, although they gave it their best shot! I ordered the backpacker special (creamy pasta with beef) and there was definitely somthing not right about it. But what can you expect for $8. We stuck around for another couple hours with little action. The Barman told us it gets busier around 9 ( to be honest it didn't get busy till 10) and it was quite an older crowd, more locals than tourists. We stayed fr a few more drinks but then wet back to the hostel as this wasn't this hip cocktail bar we were expecting.
