Three of us dined there last week. Didn't make a booking so were grateful they had a table. The lighting is pretty poor so made reading the menus difficult. The winelist was hard to read and the waitress wasn't much help recommending one. One of us asked to havehe the prawn entree as a main and the waitress said no, they didn't do things like that. When we insisted she went out and checked with the chef she came back and said yes they could - but there would be 8 prawns for $32!! Apparently the entree has 4 prawns and is $16 so they obviously doubled it! One meal was a lamb curry that was delicious although the menu said it came with chutney but it didn't. The steak meal came with a very small amount of peppercorn sauce and when we asked for some more sauce the waitress said "what sort of sauce was it?" To be honest we couldn't remember and yet she came back with a jug full of some sort of chutney sauce - surely they could've remembered what it was?
We didn't' bother having a dessert - (a) we weren't that hungry and (b) the lacklustre attitude of the place didn't really invite us to stay longer. I doubt we'll go back as it's a bit pricey for what it is. (Note - they have two listings on this website - the other is just called Mulu Char so I'll be posting this review on that one too)
